Then a different source is used to show something that might stretch the episode and there are complaints about not strictly using just one source.

I am really confused. Think I will stop coming here because its taking away from how good the show is.

Hey don't stop coming here. Difference of opinion will always be there but that's what makes this place interesting. Episodes are good no doubt but editing is kinda off for last few days.

Hey...I understand about editing...I understand people don't want to see Bali Sugriv yet....I also understand that some people might not have the same knowledge or have read as much as others...I also understand people might think VR is the only source while other might believe in Ram Charit Manas because they believe VR has been extrapolated and edited and revised etc. However, there are things that are a bit hard to overlook like the daily rant about episodes because the solution to those rants are that the makers should either deviate a lot like they did with Mahabharat and Radha Krishna or just follow Ramji's story without much deviation.

My issue is mostly with the daily rants which takes away then from me wanting to watch the episodes and I don't want that because I am re-reading some books alongside and to me it is following what it should follow.

An example: yesterday someone said "the tree had a face!" Which face? I saw Rishi Sutheekshna sitting in front of the tree...there was no face in the tree....it was a magical tree but the tree didn't have a face. Another example: calling Jatayu "Garud raj" - NO! If one reads books then one would know that a Jatayu and a Garud are 2 different birds. But anyways, my friend said that she was told she can't even mention books here because she came with the pov of sharing her knowledge and was shoo-ed off because she stated her opinion on the extrapolation on VR. So opinions are two ways right?

For instance the Agastya Rishi that they supposedly spent such time trying to find, they didn’t even spend that much time with him to show why he was important? Earlier they had Mahadev and Parvati sort of show some analysis on each action that Ram did and now they’re just brushing though it

Stuff like that makes the show feel rushed! Everyone is saying how Sita Haran is supposedly happening next week and they barely have shown the trio in the last week. Introducing Hanuman this early was unnecessary IMO and if they did want to do that then they haven’t done a good job at showing Hanuman-Vali-Sugriv’s story IMO

There is a drop in quality in the recent episodes (since Bharat Milan tbh) the editing is off the pacing has been off since the wedding episodes and such. Earlier in the show they had a good pace of atleast 1-2 episodes to each incident in Ram’s life and Kaikeyi’s sudden change has already been discussed. They did a great job with the hour long episodes in showing Ram-Lakshman-Sita’s stories and the other characters earlier. Ahilya’s story was given 2 episodes, Swyamwar was given 1-2 episodes etc.(both hour long episodes so really 4-5 episodes)

This was the same place where there were complaints that the wedding episodes were taking too long and why was anyone showing/watching the wedding rituals.

Was it me watching a different Ramayan? Me watching Kaikeyi not impressed when Dasrath didn't take her despite her telling Mantra that she would go with him and yes, Manthra would see? Me watching Manthra instigating her that her bahu wasn't even a real princess? Or was it some other show I watched where she wasn't happy and she told Yudhjit that? Or was it a different show where she watches Ramji who smiles at her and she walks away and leaves him sad and pensive. This expression where he is sad was discussed between me and my friends. Was it a different show where Mantra heard the Yuvraj news and went off to instigate Kaikeyi? The only alternative was showing that the gods ordain it and Kaikeyi changes. This is what I mean. I am watching a different show and that is why I don't think I can come to this place. Its ruining my experience.

The next example: Hanumanji. This is the same place that kept asking for him to come. So now why such an issue. I can bring those posts back.

Agastya muni was important because he gave them the sword and the divine bow Vishwakarma made for Vishnu bhagwaan. What else should they have shown? The backstory? If they give every single character's backstory it would get too boring. And like I said, the abridged, translations do not write verses upon verses describing side characters.

Also, NO, my friend was not shooed away because she didn't use that patronising and obnoxious thread where all versions can be discussed. She was forced to leave because her knowledge and her thoughts were mocked and she was made to feel inferior because she didn't believe that Valmiki's Ramayan is the only true source. She said she believed in RCM also. And she is right, scholars who have studied Sanskrit literature say that an unabridged version of Valmiki's works are almost impossible to find; that even abridged translated versions have a lot of extrapolation, additions from folklore, author opinions etc.

In fact the version that is often linked here has incorrect grammar and isn't the most well translated English text. How am I even supposed to believe that learned scholars would make so many grammatical and linguistic errors when translating.

These are just a few reasons as to why being on this forum is ruining my experience and I would prefer to watch the show away from here.
