Eid is a Salman date...kind of tradition...
I remember that SRK had schedulded Raees for an Eid release 2016 (it had been free when he did so) but then YRF (Aditya) asked him to postpone it because of Sultan (which wasn't yet finished at the time of SRK's announcement)...and SRK did so (against the co-producers Excel's wish which resulted later in the clash with Hrithik's Kaabil which SRK hadn't wanted).
