After having read through the thread, I've opened a topic because, to me, it's not about a "bogus win" for Ranbir (yes for Alia, though).

Not dreaming for an actor i have never met to achieve anything for sure..i have bigger and better dreams to accomplish related to my own self..only giving my opinion on his performance..won't be losing sleep if he doesn't win..certainly not my dream and would be really sad if anyone really cares about them this much!

alia and kjo yeah. Rk was brilliant in animal even if mvi was trash he deserves it.

Honestly, we don't know exactly who is responsible for Alia's Filmfare win...I shy away from accusing someone of buying an award without knowing or having a proof.

However, I would agree in regarding Alia's win as "bogus".

I also think that many in the filmindustry had been aware of who would get an award and so many prominent celebs not attending was - in my eyes - a kind of protest demonstration.

I equally think that the Phalke awards and the Zee Cine awards quite clearly showcased the protest. That's why I also liked very much the Zee award for Sunny as a sign how much Gadar2 had also shaped the movie-going experience in 2023.

Like some others said, Ranbir deserved it IMO. He was fantastic in Animal.
