It is Caz she actually didn't love him .. and felt that he was also dragged into this majboori and kept running back to her safely ex on her maa ka behkana over and over and then saari duniya ke zulm on Saad.. for her this rishta with Saad was Unacceorabke for the longest time Caz she rejected him and then a twist if fate had them say yes to each other she had no idea he actually liked her that way Caz she thought even when the gharwale were doing the rishta kj baat it was against his will too. And yahan pe maheer was well aware that she actually caused kaafi destruction in their family .. this show was so slow and dragged after a point and maheer was annoying too but they did had their moments where they both shined.. baaki itna koi dukhi tha na MH se bhi zyada hi caz wahan HH got their light moments if growth too yahan aisa kuch tha nahi they werw kaafi formal wale husband wife bas naam wale jo khud hi were having troubles and then the families kept accusing the other one as the reason for all tabahi . Esp her mother caz she didn't see him as rich enough..his familh to genuinly loved maheer and stood by her in all her tough time until this madam ran back to that loser ex of hers and that caused his father to die and him being jobless and in jail Ina. Fake accusations by her existence Gf so he can have her and she can have her ex and ruin the lives of maheer and Saad and got kaafi boring at times

LOL I know that is what they do in Pak shaadis cuz I've seen this cousins se shaadi karna plot in other shows also but the level to which they took it in SC was kinda ridiculous IMO....not just the shaadis in each generation but the third angles/almost shaadis were also all with cousins....it literally became a tamasha after a point

Doesn't mean ki just cuz you don't consider those male members your brothers ki duniya mein aur koi aadmi hi nahin bache....lol they all literally behave like shaadi karni hai toh literally apne cousins mein se choose karna shuru kar do

I know why you feel tired and uncomfortable frankly at times it does seem like the whole purpose is this only hi esp in media caz in real life it is not as common matlab ab toh kaafi reduce ho gaya hai yeh but phir bhi bohat se families hain who just cannot with this idea.. it is just burdening on whole different level caz it messes up families so bad but nah all dramas have to do this all the time and it does get annoying

And yeah they do look like a pretty bland formal wala husband wife typical Pak shows wala. Bas dialogue baazi about grand mohabbat but woh actual feel nahin in the interaction. Lol toh itne famous actors lene ke baad bhi bas yeh half baked script la paaye? ….Wahaj ka character looks very abla lachaar types like he is the third angle instead of the other guy

Pak shows mein bhi yeh problem hai ki they don’t seem to know how to anchor the story around leads. Faltu sideys ko bahut prop up karte hain to fill airtime. Woh AKD mein bhi toh yehi haal hai. Talented actors ko sign karke phir unko as hero bhi nahin dikhaate 🤷‍♀️😂

Haan mujhe bhi lagta hai this is hyped up more in media and these TV shows than being done in real life....and that's mainly cuz they want to show drama toh sab kuch family mein hi criss cross connections banaate hain shaadiyon ka taaki rishtedaari se kalesh ho since every person's action impacts all the criss- crossed rishte.

ITV deffo seems inspired from this too isliye har show mein they try to show two sisters fighting over a guy taaki family waale bhi usi reason se aapas mein ladte rahe hain....lol bas yehi zaleel soch laa sakte hain to add drama into shows....as if aur kisi cheez ki wajah se logon ki life mein drama nahin ho sakta other than fighting over kis bacche ne kisse shaadi kar li within family toh kiski "insult" ho gayi blah blah

Her name was maheer byr Saad called her mahi. And only Saad in the entire family did Caz they were BFF's and he thought that she would have the mutual feeling but at the first whisper by family she called him and shut him off by friend zoning toh yeh bechara devdas ban gaya tha and then her dusra dulha didn't show up caz his father died on his wedding day and his rich ass mother who was anyway against took that as opportunity and it inform them of the real reason behind not bringing baraat and except did the whole you gareeb people have no izzat bakwaas on a phone call..while this girl and his family been waiting so the same old society started blaming her and then Saad ke mom dad again gave his rishta ke beti toh humari hai and then she said yes in hopes ke Saad will say no just like before but he couldn't caz he was kasamofied too lol and the started a never ending cycle of woh atrocious psycho behavior of the ex to ruin maheer ki.life caz both thought the other deceived them bla bla meanwhile her mother was a gold digger and rejected Saad only caz he was middle class achi khasi life and status tha but aunth was too greedy seeing her rich sister Ka lifestyle. So she kept blaming Saad for mareyingher daughter rather than being thankful and played full part in almost killing her own husband too har waqt gaslight karti thi yeh maheer ki mom played by shibra ji ki maa and Saad ke daddy by shibra ji ke daddy lol.anyway she rejected the genuine love from Saad and his family and qadar tab aayi jab uski mom and behan had turned so bitter after loving mahi so much initially and wanting her for Saad matlab unka Palatka was totally jaayaz then they had suffered hell loads caz of her ex and her flippant behavior. And yes Saad was like even if we don't accept but ab hain to sahi tih he actually never backed from.hsi responsibilities or waade he went all out and about no matter how they literally made living hell for him using their influence Saad took it all on him for maheer whole being bullied in various ways emotionally financially physically by the psycho ex and baaki as i told you wahaj did say he likes playing these abla roles caz sympathy bhar bhar ke comes. Maheer was initially wronged but then her being flippant and nit realizing Saad ka oyaar soon enough was so annoying when everytime her mother gaslughted her she would be OK let's go meet the ex but then when the ex planned the whole I will force kidnap youa nd make Saad divorce you madam ko hish aaye..and baaki when hardships became too jcub then she was able to see his love and went beyond and above to rectify and was like thank God main psycho ex se Bach gayi..and no she wasn't cheating on Saad in anyway.. she genuinly wanted to accept Saad as her husband but everytime she took a step woh maa would gaslight her more and she would just stop but teh bhi haimke maheer never actually agreed with her mother keli bakwaas she aoulf actually shut her off too and then her mom would be oh yeah you have the same blood as middle class sasural too bla bla..that woman was just na shukari and wanted her daughter to be that too and greedy. It was rather funny that for every kaam every need every thing she would call Saad as if he is her naukar but shaadi nahi kar sakti beti ki lol Saad ki kamayi pe ulin chachi ka bhi gahr chalta tha when her husband got sick tab Saad theek tha but otherwise he was too middle class who couldn't provide for her daughter.. which was hilarious caz maheer wasn't a spoilt girl in terms of materialistic things either .

And her name means Brave

Arey baap re tumne toh puri story type kar di ….mujhe story ka pata hai Cuz mom gave me an overview. Main toh bas specific scenes ke details ka puch rahi thi coz jitne bhi ek do clips dekhe, kaafi bland lage.

What a waste of a good soundtrack also. lol itna achha gaana lift karke bhi aisi thakeli story? And this Saad being used as a naukar sounds familiar to Bilal ke character ka haal in that Rangrez wala show where Sajal treated him like a naukar while he was one sided lover 😂

Oh thanks for Maheer ke name ka meaning. So kinda like Shibra ka name. Woh bhi sherni matlab brave hai

If Wahaj likes playing abla roles to get sympathy toh yeh Gul hero type woh TB show kyun kar raha hai? ….uska hero toh doesn’t look abla.

Aur bhai mujhe toh sympathy bhi nahin feel hui. Lallu lag raha tha clips mein yeh Saad ….same way woh Bilal ka character bhi lallu tha in Rangrez wala show.

Forward kar karke it was easy to finish since Bilal ke barely any scenes the. So I have some questions

When did this so called "love story" of Salman-Aliya even start? Shuru ke 2-3 episodes mein they were fighting like cats and dogs and then suddenly two episodes later, Salman is acting lattu over her, throwing flowers on her, asking for commitment and I was like hain? Bhai pyar kab hua ki suddenly committment ka expectation aa gaya? And rest of Salman ka "arc" was just about his insecurity that Aliya will leave him for Asfar.....lol yeh Bilal ko bas yehi character karne ko milte hain har show mein? Sudden mohabbat, sudden insecurity and jealousy over random guy.....lol Dobara mein bhi yehi sab tha....Mahir would randomly act jealous and then end mein khud hi cheat kar raha tha Mehru ko....waah kya characterization hai

All this for a girl with whom he never had one dhang ki convo without doing gol mol vague baatein....baat ek dhang ki ki nahin but seedha mohabbat ki intensity ke daave shuru ho gaye.....and end mein explanation de raha hai ki hum ek dusre ko bolein na bolein, we know we can't live without each other....lol bhai toh yeh story mein kyun nahin dikha? Wahaan toh bas bolne ko tha, interactions mein woh connect didn't come through.

Aliya ko sab log bada "different, different" bol ke aise hype kar rahe the jaise badi special ladki ho....lol bhai sorry mujhe toh nahin dikha what exactly was in her to have two men lattu over her.....and she was quite easily free with that Asfar guy but was acting bechari if asked about him like gunaah kar diya, uska character question kar liya....lol itni vague baaton waali "love story"....jahaan kisi ne koi baat aapas mein clear bhi nahin ki hui but love triangle, insecurity, jealousy sab chal raha hai

On the plus side, Bilal deffo looked very handsome and cute as Salman.....but character iska wohi again weak kar diya as usual....no one wants to hear this but IM is the only show of his where his character hasn't been made passive and sidelined like most of his other shows. Is show mein he started off being on the montage with the rest of the family and suddenly halfway point pe woh Asfar ko laake love triangle montage bana diya.....would be interesting to know kya bts politics chalte hain in Pak shows ki sidey characters ko suddenly front and center kar dete hain when show has started with some other guy.

I also liked his relationship with his mom....so cute the way he calls her Almas and teases her.

Phupho ki love story bhi nice thi....but mujhe samajh nahin aayi ek baat.....so on her shaadi day with Salman ka uncle, she ran off with another guy using her friend - this Thanvi uncle who also happened to be in love with her? ROFL ek time pe teen aashiq the Phupho ke?

Baaki family drama I forwarded so dunno kiska kya bana

Performance wise I'd rate Mahir above Salman in terms of acting range from Bilal....Salman basically prop hi tha is half-baked love story mein...if love story had any heft, maybe his character would have more to do. Mahir did drive the plot alongside Mehru in Dobara so he had more to do there.....but neither show is something I would revisit....he's still better in IM in my eyes

Sajal is one weird looking chick....I know I've said this before ....lol but her matte lipstick was super distracting to look at throughout the show....itni cakey lines thi on her lips........baaki bhi I don't know what she does with her makeup but maide ki dukaan lagti hai

Iqra seems to be the only one among these girls who can actually show range acting wise....her ham act in SC notwithstanding....but she's not a one note or put on actress as far as I can tell.

Word on the way they dropped the ball on Salman alia..they never even gave a proper story to why they were always fighting or how they knew each other but we were supposed to heleive that their not jhok and rivalry were their pyaar.kab kaise hua pata nahi ya kamse Kam rivalry ko hi proper explain kar do so we can be in a better position to make assumptions also on how they felt for each other or what.. as fad as my understanding goes something shifted in between them after he took care of her Amma that is where she went soft and they both just started feeling this kaha nahi hai but dusra humara hi hai bas aise hi and then everyone started liking Salman for alia. Alia Madam khud toh bas har waqt sadti hi rehti thi and faltu ka attitude jhadti rehti thi kabhi Salman pe kabhi azfar pe.. usko bhi mixed signals pe signal diye jaa rahi and then was like oh but nobody including my parents should question me on jaayaz baat too caz she had that main kamati hoon complex of sorts too.. matlab being complicated is one thing but this woman had faltu ka baghair kisi clear explanation ke put off vibe even as a character. They haven't explored this whole bitterness she had ke usko beta banke ghar bachana padega nakwaas like it never felt like she was doing it out of love ya actually helping her father..it always felt like she feels the burden and resents them.and bhoj utter rahi hai..and yeah the whole she is samjhdaar thing..yeah samjhdaar ladkiyaan just keep interfaring in the boss ki life faltu ka without him asking for it and then be like oh you got the wrong idea..I wouldn't even blame azfar..he felt someone caring for him going out of the way for the first time so he fell in love but yeh madam kabhi kisi ka courtier and banana kabhi kuch..again what does a secretary office employee has to do at his home planning his day woh bhi aone family se chupke that woo when they weren't exactly friends either or on good terms..or being at hospital when his father had the stroke.. like bruh she was so extra agar koi jaata bhi hai toh formal sa get well soon as a company as a group jaate hain log as far as I am familiar with pakistan ka business and work culture.. uppar se madam had the audacity to act all smug about it and yell at Salman and blame him for doing shak and being interfaring huh?? Ek taraf madam ji was going on about how she can twist his buttons knows him and dusri taraf apne self claimed BF ko itni bhi understanding nahi deni that if he is asking a valid question toh answer him decently without accusing him of doubting you..? That whole track just turned extra pathetic Caz alia was just such a pos in name of making her complicated and yehabgaltu ka azfar ko itna footage de de ke sar chadhao felt more like them doing ego service to sherrry when well we all know he is all about looks acting bechare se hoti nahi jitna bhi try kar le..

About phupo toh she basically just used thanvi to get out if the marriage with Adil.. she particularly didn't marry the 3rd guy same day or at the same time..everyone thought that she ran with thanvi as he liked her but she considered him friend only and then ditched him Caz he thought too ke uske saath bhaag rahi hain phupo and then stayed out of fam to later at some time marry her pasand ka safdar.. phupo didn't had any feeling for Adil or thanvi then but phupo thanvi track was probably the cutest and best in the show..

And yeah almas and Salman were so cute and I did liked how almas always told Salman where he could be wrong too and bas mera beta hamesha sahi nahi karti rehti thi.. that friends wala bond was rather sweet to see

Woh choti behan ka track toh kaafi faltu hi tha I didn't liked it mcuh either but wih Deepak and maid ka track was decent too with how phupo adopted him and he was part of their family and badi behan ka bhi..again funny kr main leads se zyada fleshed out to badi behan ka track tha
