Dil Chahta Hai is very good and it changed Hindi Cinema forever but Lagaan is one of the all time greats. Btw imagine delivering these 2 films within a span of two months lol.

Friends please vote as aamir khan best performance movie. I voted for Lagan. In DCH aamir khan role was not that important, I think akshaye khanna steals the show in that movie. But aamir khan was amazing in lagaan/ he brought so many issues. Untouchable caste, disability and how to work as a team no matter what other bank account balance is or what higher caste it has. Music was beautiful and much better than dil chahta hai. We cannot loose lagan please friends make lagan win smiley13

DCH for me it’s Saif who carried the movie. Aamir was obnoxious and Akshay unbearable with his long depressed face all the time. 😭😆. Their romantic tracks even more intolerable.

Lagaan on the other hand is a GOAT. Not a single boring moment. Literally every single scene, every single song is repeat watchable.I still gasp at that last shot despite watching the movie 343445 times already. No preaching. No useless melodrama. None of the usual crappy tropes. Aamir’s one of the GOAT performances and the rest of the cast was perfect too….🙌

yes both movies had impact. Even in IMDb their ratings similar but audience in general over the years like dch slightly more in IMDb.

though Gardar beat Lagaan so might be some who like certain movies slightly more just like in dch case. I liked the character esp Aamir Preity bond and the songs. I enjoyed the story n characters in dch and my movie I watch multiple times. I get that Lagan is more hyped back then and it was nominated in the Oscar’s etc. Yet since asked why it’s getting votes it based on what someone likes more.
