Both of them held their individual grounds strongly, for me Aamir is as memorable for the role of Munna just like Urmila was as Mili, in Rangeela.

I find his Munna memorable too. In fact, his two most lovable characters for me are his Raja Hindustani and his Munna in Rangeela. But I do think Urmila overshadows him especially in the second half. The second half of the film is mainly focused on Urmila's POV and the songs are all on her and Jackie. Aamir seems to be sidelined a little there. Maybe that was done on purpose since the narrative is also about how he feels he's being shut out of Mili's life and not as important a presence. When people think of Rangeela, they usually think of the songs, colors, dances, clothes, etc. which Urmila epitomizes.

How come a true classic like JJWS is loosing from a thakki hui and faulty script wali film like Fanaa

Definitely not for that reason because I personally watched the movie for Aamir and liked him the best followed by Rishi Kapoor. Kajol was either OTT giving orgasmic expressions or underwhelming.

JJWS is a proper timeless classic and cannot be bracketed with any other movie.
