Dil Se though great on paper, but its execution demands a lot of patience from the viewers to sit through it calmly in one - go - viewing.
The most non engaging movie of the great Gulzar, yet had great storyline and performance by Manisha.
Still voted Dil Se above Don due to its sincerity with the passion of art.
(Don was a better action movie of srk though, much better than the pathetic childish Patthan and that incoherent head spinner Jawaan).

I think Darr should have won against Don because I would have been more interested in seeing Darr being pitted against Dil Se. I think that would have been a more equal match.

Aamir and Madhuri's Dil in 1990 was such a blockbuster hit that films from the rest of the 90s tried to copy it by using the word "Dil" in their titles to try and evoke the same effect. You can see that with Dil To Pagal Hai and Dil Se.
