Well...he was also bestie with Anurag Basu when Barfi was superhit. Not after Jagga failed. He didn't utter a word when Rishi went all ballistic on Basu. Same thing with Imtiaz.

Difference is, 2nd movie with Basu & Imtiaz was flop. It took Ayan a 3rd movie.

Ayan was what Vidya was to Saif in Parineeta. Ayan himself said somewhere that uske kharche Ranbir ke almari se aate the. Whereas, Akash showers Ranbir with gifts... the dogs he had were gifts from Akash. I won't be shocked if Akash is the corporation that books for Ranbir's movies.
