I like him very much as an actor but also as a person.
His last movie which he produced together with Gauri Shinde (whose husband was the director) didn't make the waves it deserves...

Contrary to Ghoomer, his first movie as a producer made more waves...it was
Happy birthday to a man who - I'm sure - has wished from time to time to have been born to an unknown father...

Wasn’t Ghoomer a massive critical success? It was an OTT release and I don’t think it did that bad in terms of views. Paa is a great movie though with great songs and major repeat value.
He is very underrated as an actor. And definitely went through this weird angry phase which seems to have changed the perception (or perhaps it’s reality) about him from this nice funny goofy guy to whatever it is today. But he seems to be finding his place in OTT and constantly getting praised for his acting. He’ll never be a big star, but years down the line he will be known as a great versatile actor.
Yes, Ghoomer was a critical success...I think, the movie was released first in Melbourne (filmfestival), then in theatres but quickly went on OTT.
