I haven't tuned in to the contests going on BUT I had to come here to say that Pardes undoubtedly ranks as one of Shahrukh's BEST! It should ABSOLUTELY be included in the movie match as one of the front runners.
Do I think Arjun is the most endearing liar to ever grace the silver screen? Yes.
Watching him burdened by all those obligations tugged at my heartstrings, and I was practically overflowing with forgiveness by the end of it. 
Who remembers this iconic scene where Rajiv the moron decides to throw everything out the window and dance like no one is watching?

Around 11:45, his fiancƩe (Mahima) is being harassed by a thug. Rajiv is in his own little world, busting out dance "moves" like there's no tomorrow, and blind to the world around him.
Thankfully our hero Arjun intervenes. Instead of showering Arjun with a million thank you's for saving the day, what does Rajiv do? Throw a hissy fit like a toddler.
Why? cuz Arjun had the nerve to rescue his damsel in distress. 
CUZ how dare he not sit idly by, twiddling his thumbs, waiting for Rajiv to finish his "dance routine" and finally swoop in like a white knight?
how dare he take swift action and prevent a catastrophe?!
Rajiv's Expectation: Arjun waiting for Rajiv's grand entrance to save Mahima.
