I love Rangeela Re ...the tune and the lyrics and the way Lata sings it. It's such a difficult song to sing.

Happy birthday to Waheeda Rehman. She is probably one my 5-6 favourite bollywood actresses. Beautiful, talented, graceful, what's their to not like about her ?

Of all of Waheeda Rehman's songs I am partial to Rangeela Re , S.D..Burman's composition is fantastic but Neeraj's lyrics are so good, I like his word as much as like Burman's composition. Lata as usual is flawless, her emotions are always spot on. The song belonged to Waheeda Rehman on screen. but it has been already posted.

So here is another song picturised on Waheeda Rehamn I love a lot.

Aa Aa bhi Jaa, Raat dhalne Lagi from 1966 movie Teesri Kasam

It must have been terrifying for him, I hope my library has a copy of his autobiography.

d I must confess I don’t know much about Narendra Chanchal, his story is definitely eye-opening. Thanks for sharing. The Benaam song is the one I’m familiar with too.

Waheeda RehmanSongs

Waheeda's birthday has passed without my knowledge.smiley3 This is a sin that I cannot forgive myself! smiley19

The most beautiful, exceptionally gifted, and intelligent actress in the Hindi film industry. A dancing angel, a queen of expressions with her lyrical eyes, a real diva of our cine industry, and one of the all-time greats of Bollywood.

The 'Guide' movie was successful because of the complexity of the plot, of course, but Waheeda's dancing skills were also a major factor. A glyph of an endless era, she knows how to write eloquent essays with her gaze, how to compose timeless epics with her swaying on the dance floor, and how to touch an audience's heart with a half-sunk tear from the corner of her eye!

Happy Birthday, Waheeda Rehman! Celebrating a Timeless Beauty and Her New Passion!

Rangeela Re song....ahhh... smiley9

Because of a peculiar reason, this is more prominent for me! smiley10

Because she's so inebriated in this song, she has to dance like a crazy person, but she couldn't! She completely failed! Are you aware of the reason? She is such an accomplished dancer that she couldn't possibly miss a step, allowing us to see her struggle to do a poor dance but ultimately excelled. She is such a talented dancer that she could never possibly miss a step! smiley32

Waheeda Rehman started her film career with working in Telugu films. A trained dancer, she is seen here during her one of the first song sequences "Eruvaaka Sagaroranno Chinnanna", from the film

This is her debut in a Telugu film. She was only acting for this song. She was just fifteen years old who was peeping outside with great enthusiasm!

Afterwards, during one of her performances on stage, Guru Dutt caught sight of her and enrolled her for his ambitious film Pyasa, in which she was a luring woman.
