"Anupama is lucky".
That should have sufficed.
I mean anyone who get multiple opportunities in and at life, ALL served on a plate, ready to consume, would be.
Once could be a chance, twice a co-incidence, but the number of Udaans that have been served to her and the number of opportunities she has had without lifting a finger, she is plain lucky.
I am convinced more and more that shows like Anupama are the equivalent of media like "Fifty shades of Grey" for Indian middle aged, mostly women audience.
They obviously cannot show sex and bondage fantasy in India, so they fulfil the next best fantasies.
Handsome, rich, powerful guys falling uncontrollably in love with a middle aged, jhalli, uneducated, unemployed, taken for granted housewife? Check.
Ex husband who took her for granted being taught a lesson regretting it and wanting her back as other handsome men court her? Check. Add her sasuma also feeling the same? Check.
Everyone in family, from grand daughters to grand fathers being dependent on her and learning her worth and cannot live without her? Check.
Can leave her family and run away from it all and still be loved and respected and can chase her udaan? Check.
Every single big thing, from dance academies to multi million dollar businesses fall into her lap and she is put in charge and magically does great without any experience? Check.
Her special recipes and special advice and sayings is valued by all (when before no one cared)? Check.
Being treated like being in the right and being a Goddess no matter what she does and how she behaves? Check.
Anupama is just the daydream of frustrated Indian housewives who just want nonsense escapism fantasies. Its the equivalent of movies like Animal for frustrated males in India.
