SLB took a huge gamble on Ranveer with Ram Leela. He then gave him his two biggest hits and strongest roles. I am sure he sees SLB as a mentor, and the whole thing stings a bit, especially when his career is in a lull. As long as there is no confirmation that Ranveer had followed SLB Productions, this is just a 'storm in a teacup', imo.

Anyways, in an industry like the filmindustry, projects can get killed at any times...I guess, seasoned actors know that.

Maybe, Ranveer really liked to work with SLB as he himself seems to like grandeur and flamboyance.

As project, I really got interested in this singer 'contest' (although n o t with Alia as the female protagonist!!!!)...but it was obvious that it would be another extravaganza like Devdas had been...and a certain risk for investors.

Somehow, I really think that one should be attentive to the budgets... (Vanga made Animal on an alleged budget of 100 cr and Gadar 2 had been made on an alleged budget of 60 cr).

The movie did very well, it wasn't a big budget massy film, it was a movie about a boy from the slums becoming a rapper
