Because Arohi was classy and she had so much self respect …she never ever ran after abhimanyu…it was him and his family that approached her every time they got proposed or engaged..and even Sirat..ok she basically cheated her first husband because she was lusting after karthik while married to ranveer..and then Neil’s mother..that’s Ruhis grandmother..she had an affair with a married man and had an illegitimate child. So many time actor expression tell what character feelings... This time things also need to happened that way.. but it's got failed.... because this scenes and track also happened in another serial where ml stuck with other girl and FL saw that ... Yes it was lack of acting. He did feel uncomfortable. And he remembered Abhira. But did not tell her name in front of Ruhi. Him ignoring all of Ruhi's intentions and bringing her back is going to cost him very very dearly. Later when their past comes out in front of the family Ruhi might tell about this promise to everyone or maybe to Abhira.
