This is cracking me up- a prime example of acting missing the emotional tone. It’s not just this scene, her high-pitched voice n her histrionics through the entire lock-up sequence n in the last episode didn’t deliver the intended impact (strictly my opinion).

As a Wahaj fan, this drama has been nothing but a big disappointment for me. We are towards the end and I can’t even bring myself to like/respect Zaid’s character - it’s just not been sold well to the audience or written well. Plus no scope for Wahaj to perform. He’s mostly been a prop.

Give Ayeza, Azeekah and Shahzad Nawaz all the awards for this and move on 👏

Even as a neutral viewer this is disappointing. There have been pak dramas which have touched social issues and handled them well. They have used something as harrassment and won't even do justice to it.Why make characters commit questionable things when you won't even address them later. Not only Rayyan but also Asif,MJ.I am sure their arcs also won't be handled properly.

If they bring back Ayra’s stupidities, let’s bring back Asif locking her in. Let’s bring back him calling his servants and driver off to not help Ayra. And let’s bring back some of MJs juicy plans too lol.

Ugh this writing can be is so irresponsible. They’re really pushing Ayra to just get mad or commit suicide 🤦🏻‍♀️

@bold Ayra was under distress from what Asif and MJ did. MJ literally blackmailed a man to defeat Ayra cause she cannot do it honestly. Ayra reacted foolishly but her act is not comparable to the evil acts of Asif and MJ. Why can't that psycho who uses her mental health to bully her driver win a tender with all her beauty and talent? Gareeb ne liya to qiyamat a gayi?

Also it's not only the gross writer that's okay with the harassment . Like you said, Ayras foolish jasbati (not calculative like Asif n MJ) act is used to justify the harassment. Like it's okay 😂 jesa fans wesa drama. Na sar na pair of a plot.

@you think they'll allow that ? 😂

Some fans would be disappointed but I see many people not wanting MJ-Zaid together. So they can make Ayra-Zaid endgame if they want. Not that audience can do anything if they show it.Secondly,MJ is not a psycho.I am tired of seeing people calling ones with mental health issues such things.Just because it hasn't been handled well in the show does not mean it isn't there.Ayeza reiterated about MJ being bipolar during her recent meet and greet with fans in Obviously, isn't an excuse to commit crimes though.

Oh for sure. Pakistani content is rich in social issue family dramas which are dealt with responsibly and the writing is excellent. When you show grey characters it’s so important for them to be dealt with right - the writing has to really dive into the motivations and the scenes have to be strong. It can’t be a superficial handling of situations. The characters in Mein despite being so complicited and rich in potential never get to see that potential explored. If anything has sold it, it’s actor performances. That’s it. Otherwise no substance in the plot or scenes. It’s just a family drama of twists upon twists for the sake of shock value.

Kudos to Ayeza, Azeekah and Shahzad Nawaz for their portrayals. Ayeza for MJs vulnerable moments, her self control - Azeekah for managing to walk the fine line between sympathetic yet questionable back and forth - Shahzad Nawaz for exuding so much screen presence and the dominating aura of Asif 👏 👏 👏

As for arcs I think MJ and Ayra are the only ones who even got it. Nobody else got a proper anything lol

I find Ayra and Zaid so bland. MJ is the show stealer. Ayeza did great with the character, look, outfits. And Asif too. I found wahaj to be having even less impact than Rayan.

Ayra should leave and fight for her brother's justice. Zaids not worth it. He is so meek tired and confused. I don't get how MJ even wants it to work so badly by hook crook and blackmailing 😂 even MJ should get someone with more of a backbone

I thought MJ is not a middle class girl and shadi shadi is not her everything but it seems that this lady really can't be independent.

I feel sorry for kashmala. She knowingly chose a predatory husband. Well Asif what you did to Ayra, your daughter will suffer too through Rayan.

Hmm! Yes. The writers know what audience wants and will cheer for a happy ending eventually. But why use same ghisa peeta plot..

Well! I don't like Zaid & Ayra as well. Very bland together. I toh don't even like seeing their interactions. Very boring for me.

Best in this show are Asif & Mj for me. I anyway want Zaid-MJ bcz I see the potential and I really liked their scenes together & also bcz I want to see Wahaj & Ayeza together. But if MJ walks away and it's convincing then fine. Honestly, I don't like Zaid much either.

Kashmala was very stupid in choosing RJ bcz she saw him talking to other women I think. Isn't it? She is naive but shouldn't have been given the type of high society circle she was from. Idk how she didn't know what type of person RJ is 🤷

Ayeza herself doesn’t know what bipolar disorder is 🤦🏻‍♀️ It’s so irresponsible of her to throw that name around when she’s obviously ignorant about it. What MJ has falls more under narcissism and general anxiety disorder.
She’s put in effort in her character for sure - the aura of MJ and the wardrobe and style. So some research on mental health and what bipolar ACTUALLY is could easily have been done too 🤦🏻‍♀️

agree about the other thing - mental health patients can be the nicest kindest people you know. Its definitely no excuse for horrible behavior and choices which MJ chooses to make

Mental health is a serious thing. It can destroy multiple lives. MJ committed a crime by using her mental health in disguise. People excuse what she did (blackmailed the man) because she is ill?

I'm sorry but you cannot use mental health as a tool or weapon on who you want to get rid of. Her humiliating of the driver is not justified just because she's bipolar. Yes, mohibs was greedy but treating him like shit because he's poor is not on mental health either.

Even amber heard is mentally unwell. But she used her narcissistic behavior to cause johnny harm and the whole world saw the truth.

It's okay to have mental issues. But not use them as a tool to justify your evil acts

Also, ayeza cannot diagnose the character 😂. You need to refer dsm and a psychiatrist/psychologist needs to do it after intense evaluation.

At the end it's a poor script

Peace to Ayra and MJ

Ayeza has already earned a fan in me.I watched Chupke Chupke last month and watching Mein now.She can portray contrasting characters with finesse.Plus is a thorough professional with the way she promotes her work and the effort she puts into every aspect of her character.I know she has a team for it.They also deserve to be applauded.

Same here. I felt bad bcz she was locked & harassed. But I didn't really feel for her acting. Especially he is a bad man was hilarious
