Is he cooking up anything more than locking her up,? He can't do anything...he has to answer to Zaid na.
well he’s still answerable to him for locking her up and he has no issues doing that.
He’s just getting started. See his monologue again - Criminal Asif has awoken lol

🙄. Was not planning to watch this episode again. Really, why can't Asif stop behaving like a child... locking her up is also so childish. 😠

this is what Mein does whenever it’s approaching a climax. They dragged out Ayra and her family’s harassment for ages and by the end of it the audience was rooting for the second marriage. The writer does this so the climax seems “justified”. Now she’s doing this with Ayra vs Asif - prolonging their conflict so we will be begging for it to end already even if it means Ayra’s death.
Because already the writer has planted the seeds that this girl is just asking to get murdered by provoking the beast. Its why asif and ayra have suddenly become so childish and ooc 😂 and why Zaid is conveniently not there lol
The writer has created certain situations and the characters are just a means to an end to get there somehow.
it’s very formulaic storytelling 😒🤦🏻♀️
And JUST as Ayra is having this turning point and might possibly die, the writer has also added the seed of Zaid maybe having had a thing for MJ in the past 😂
So we don’t feel “too bad” when one wife dies because hey, the one he apparently avoids? he kinda liked her once upon a time 🤦🏻♀️🤷♀️ so option #2 doesn’t seem that bad now lol
This is the only logic to be found in the way this story was told this week 😂

We'd feel bad if Ayra dies. No one wants her to die. 🤭
Writer’s aim right now is to change the perception of the audience about her so even people who liked her will be like - oh she’s being dumb and asking for it now. Who needs enemies when you can be your own worst enemy lol - so when the inevitable does happen, we’ll be fine - she’ll just become this tragic figure who couldn’t heal and work out her trauma and went into a situation she never should have agreed to 🤷♀️
also we would have been so starved of seeing Zaid in action till then, we will just rejoice that at least this climax will give Zaid his “moment” to take down Asif 💪 I only care about that at this point lol
By the way, Big Bang and ARY released the poster and part of the OST for their new show Burns Road ke Romeo Juliet - starring Hamza Sohail and Iqra Aziz. I think this is replacing Mein soon. Ramadan is still pretty far away for them to be releasing it at this time so I think it’s not a Ramadan drama but set to take Mein’s place. Or maybe it’ll just take the Tuesday prime time slot and Mein will go back to just Mondays. Hard to say how much of Mein is even left.
I just don’t think I can go back to the once a week episode torture - just let it end while its twice a week 🙏
OMG even Something Haute reviewers did not catch the meaning of what Zaid said to MJ 😂😂😂
See! How can you blame the audience lol. If you make a scene that inconsequential this is what happens. They thought he might have meant Ayra too or his initial friendship with MJ in the beginning episodes 🤦🏻♀️😂
This is why I keep saying perspective, scenes, backstory flashbacks all this is needed to sell this point. Otherwise there’s no point to add it at this stage of the story. Fucshia didn’t even mention this detail in their review - it was completely overlooked. And now Hassan and Amina from SH also brushed past it in confusion

I watched one of these reviews after the Zaid' in MJ bedroom episode just like that. There I found a lady suddenly come out with her tubelight moment that this guy craved for comfort and that's why it happened...it was a sudden discovery for her when it was clear to most of us here by then that he was un happy with Ayra and liked to linger around MJ. I was actually surprised he turned down the coffee...that was the most natural thing to do- have coffee with her till Ayra comes....but janaab was too upset to even hold a normal. conversation with her...it was clear he needed the companionship.more than anything else from his partner all through the show ..how did these reviewers miss it? This is why I said...they don't get the continuity in the story if they watch too many shows. I stoped 22 Qadam after Mein got interesting because I can't enjoy two shows like that. Same with Jaan e jahaan. And now even TB scenes I don't feel like watching...I'm saying that's how compelling this show is with all its faults...it needs very careful viewing.
