Good to know this is better than Sita Ramam cuz that ended up being quite hollow ultimately despite all the hype.....lol I guess the kid is the main hook in this one.

The kid too but it is the treatment .they have done it in a fresh way..also there are things that I would like to discuss but after Caz don't want to ruin but yeah old lovestory ko intresting twist Dia hai and is sweet

Lol so are they gonna use that tool to make his voice heavier for the overall show? Won’t that be so time consuming? His voice modulation is fine waise toh. He did good in Katha. I thought main issue will be of his diction if his khaalis Urdu starts coming through. Lol but yahaan Balaji walon ko uski voice deep enough nahin lagi? 😂

I am not even sure but mera guess hai agar dub hai toh bohat hi close hai with his voice..really you think so..Caz according to me toh studio main auto tune karna would be cheaper than paying a dubbing artist for daily..lol.

Caught up on the Ramayan epis.....

Liked the way they depicted Mandodari basically taming Raavan in a scenesmiley36.....very well written, envisioned and enacted scene. You can see that she was a fierce beauty in her own way and a counter to Sita in the sense that she chose the wrong man to try and get on the right path....lol well they kinda showed she didn't have much of a choice but tried to create the image of a choice for herself in trying to set the terms of how she goes with Raavan.

Ram scenes have grown on me this week as well and I'm quite liking this Ram now.....there is a steadiness, calmness, focus in how they are depicting him and apne Dau is also doing well as Laxman....the actors have chemistry together as brothers....and the way they've created the aura of Ram, they are successful in convincing you of why people are drawn to the kindness of his aura.

I'm liking the little details they've added in of how Raavan is going about building his arsenal of weapons and trying to find a counter to any possible threat to himself.....the way he looted the amrit from Brahmasmiley36

Tadka vadh ka backstory was also nicely shown in a FB.....good cameo from the actress playing Tadka. I liked the Tadka vadh in his show more than the SKR one which tried to get too intense action sequence about it. This Ram is always shown very thoughtful and measured about his actions.

Oh and they literally detailed out each astra that Vishvamitra gave to Ram....lol I don't think I've seen that done in other Ramayans before.

Swastik has recently started doing a street play style narrative in their shows....I first saw it in Shiv Shakti and now I saw them use it in Ramayan also.....they showed Mahadev and Parvati dressed as folk dancers who come and present a narrative dance in Mithila to sing praises of Ram after doing Tadka Vadh....lol I like this trope....it gives very old school theater vibes that are otherwise totally missing on ITV.....they get the luxury of trying this stuff in a mytho show cuz people pay a little more attention/respect when gods are involved in the storysmiley36

Yaay… I am so happy to see this, I just caught up on SR and I am absolutely loving it. I love the pace and the story telling. I noticed today that the show has like 5-6 sponsorssmiley3smiley3( most surprising that its on sony and still has so many) Half my attention goes into guessing whereI have seen the actor, as surprisingly they have casted known actors even for side actor roles. smiley19 ( dukh ki baat hai I can’t still figure out the names) Vishwamitra, Rishi Sadanand, Naagmani ( something like that the street play actor, itne jaane pehchaane hai, ki I recognize their voice but not names and faces behind the daadhi- moochsmiley19)

I loved this scene, it had such a powerful aura. Mandodari had such a dignified aura and the strength of character. Raavan has so much screen presence and to get an actor who plays Mandodari to match his screen presence is commendable. smiley32 Word about how well written, envisioned and enacted scene this was!!!

It really is the thought process of the makers till now in showing the strength of character and approach towards the woman, whether it be Mandodari, Tadka, Ahilya, Sita or Devi Gargi!!!!

Lol the only actor I recognized right awaysmiley40smiley36. I think both Dau and Lakshman are avatar of Sheshnaag, so its good to see him back :)) I like their chemistry too. Me too like the fact that makers are focusing on “ Karuna” as his core strength. The way he connects with people just with simple kindness is amazing to watch.

Lol at the fact that he remembered, galti se mistake ho gaya, didn’t ask for protection from human in his vardaan. So looted the amrit. smiley36 Lol at the way he asked the Nakshatras to align in the way he wanted and asking them to go to the exact ghar he wanted them to. smiley37 Shani was the only one who protested. smiley36 Although I do like how this show has managed to make the most outrageous thing look somewhat convincing. smiley36

I am surprised at the speed , ek hi episode mein they showed the vadh of Tadka and Subahu and Marich was forgiven as he asked for a chance to improve. They have really toned down on the garish effects they showed in RK, where these demons were hilarious to watch and brought down the viewing pleasure. As you said the actor playing Tadka was really good.

The way Ram says Maa ( there was something so compelling) draws Tadka out of her Rakshas avtar and she just tells him about everything that happened. There is no accusation or pre conceived notion when Ram talks with any person and it comes through in his demeanor. I am liking this approach of the show in depicting Ram.

Oh and they literally detailed out each astra that Vishvamitra gave to Ram....lol I don't think I've seen that done in other Ramayans before.

It was so cool and nicely done. I even liked the designs of the astra. smiley36 Even I don’t remember seeing anything like this. Lol I also liked that one, “ jo apna nishaan saadh ke vaapis aa jate hai” kind. smiley36

I liked that in Shiv- Shakti too, its something different and refreshing to see. It was done so nicely, even I got excited while they were performing and felt like the audience in Mithila. Curious to know what happened and how. smiley36Was the Sinhaasan at Mithila court carved out of a big giant tree?? The camera moved away quickly so I was wondering if it was an outside court or the inside. smiley3 That was interesting design.

I really liked how they went about the story of Ahilya too. It was really touching. Especially when Ram says, Sansaar woh sunaata hai jo uski smriti hai, main woh janna chahta hoon jo aap pe beeti hai. As you said there is so much calmness in him and the inherent kindness of heart that draws people to him.

This is so much better overall than whatever mrunal wss doing in Sita ramam which I personally did not like.. The kiddo is adorbs like omg such a cutie. All in all it's a lovestory that is novel and one will remember for a while it is not like watch and forget and emotional funny and just awww at many times.

The music is just so soothing and calming and b3autiful like omg ( the og's hindi translations are sounding so funny to me but I am gonna listen to the og soundtrack a lot )

Thanks for the rec:) This seems my kind of film, so will definitely watch.

I did start watching killer soup , only watched like 15 minutes and its funny. Ekdam one piece couple hai dono. smiley36

Watched 3 of us, what a beautifully made movie. Its a kind of movie that stays with you, so poignant , heart warming and heart breaking at the same time. The movie is really slow, the entire movie moves ekdam tasalli se. There is not a moment where you feel like you are watching a movie, they are all so natural. Its so difficult to describe it, you just have to experience it.

The music is so sparingly used which makes the scenes more impactful. Watching the movie invoked a kind of feeling you would have while going through your old albums and reliving those happy memories.

This role was tailor made for Shefali Shah and she excelled it, Jaideeps portrayal of Pradeep made me realize the depth he has as an actor. Special mention to how they portrayed the role of their husband and wife respectively, they were adorable.

Konkan was smiley27. The cinematography was breathtaking and direction was top notch.
