I also haven’t watched it. But i checked wikipedia. Apparently the guy isn’t hero. He is the villain. So he doesn’t need to redeem. The serial identify him as negative and that is enough.
glorification is the difference. redemption and consequences are important if he is a hero/protagonist of a show. It doesn’t matter such men may not receive any consequences in real life. If its a movie or show, consequences are necessary.

I think even villains can get redemption stories if they earn it and do the work to deserve redemption. They can't be forgiven all at once with their past completely whitewashed. That's the problem I see with a lot of villain redemption stories is that they claim they've reformed, and everyone treats them like the good guy now. It takes more than a sorry.
