Here is the issue:

Regardless of whether Armaan still has or had feelings for Roohi, he’s being mean to Abhira for no reason

Even in the future, he’ll always support Roohi and be mean to Abhira bc of his guilt

Right now it’s because of love, in the future it will be guilt, it’s never ending

It's a bitter truth. And Abhira should never be someone's second choice. Heck, she should be someone's one and only choice. Armaan has too much baggage just like Old Akshu. Abhira has her own battle to fight without the burden of Armaan's too.
