Smoking for girls still carries such a negative social stigma. A few years ago Kareena was caught in someone’s insta post with a cigarette in her hand and she made the girl delete the post. Ananya is fairly new, gets regularly trolled, and is very image conscious. So while it was extremely stupid for her team to come up with this lie, I can understand why they did it.

Was just going to say this. I very much understand why she lied. As a regular person, a normie, living in a deeply patriarchal society such as India, you get HEAVILY judged smoking being a woman. Esp when I am in a kurta/salwaar suit lol, it’s pretty hilarious if it wasn’t so sad. Can’t imagine for anyone famous esp one as often trolled as AP.

It’s an extremely dumb lie b/c how did they not know she had been photographed smoking?? The images were on the Internet!

I wonder how the others sitting around keep a straight face knowing that she’s lying through her teeth.
