I've visited Nepal at least 5 times (different places in Nepal) and I did sense a bit of hostility towards Indians. Does it mean I should start hating Nepalis? (If that logic is being applied for Israel)🤔

While we are at it, let’s also talk about the whacky Indians that literally worship Israel when there’s an actual Israeli restaurant IN India that openly refuses to serve INDIANs on Indian land. Shall we?

Such restaurants license should be immediately cancelled..
They want to earn on our land n not letting us in..
I visited the FriKasol cafe in 2018 and was denied entry because they said not for people like me. Despite causing a commotion, they didn't change their decision. Last year, during my visit to Himachal again, I attempted to visit the cafe once more. This time, I could enter without any issues, but amusingly, nobody attended to meOriginally posted by: NathuPaapi
The incident of Israeli restaurant was almost 10 years back, from 2015 (check the date in the article). I've known about that incident.
Can anyone confirm if it's still happening now. Genuine question.
Strangely enough there were reports where Israeli tourist were calling Himachal there home and Indians outsiders 😄
PS - how are you?
there was a restaurant named UNO in Bangalore where Indians were not allowed but after OYO took over Indians can freely visit the place

Yeah but will it make the lightbulbs go off in those who blindly support Israel? Nah.
Great insight, thanks for sharing your experiences, bloody mary. Strange world, we live in. Although I’m sure, it’s not going to cure anyone’s sycophancy.

I'm surviving... Somehow
So... There's not been much progress. I had read that this has been happening in many cafes and restaurants and Indians eaves teasing other white customers was being given the reason for this discrimination. This is no excuse btw.
I was hoping it would have stopped by now.
I believe it's merely a tactic to shield themselves from potential backlash. Generally, the people in Himachal are incredibly hospitable, treating their guests with respect. However, the cafe owners explicitly stated that the place wasn't for people like me. The restaurant owner mentioned that some guys teased his wife, which is why he doesn't allow Indians to enter. However, his wife denied ever being teased, a detail reported in articles back in 2015.Originally posted by: NathuPaapi

Yes they are definitely giving false excuses because of the widespread backlash. There's police to handle such incidents if they happen. Strict action should be taken against such joints if they are still continuing their malpractice.
Shadi... Lol.. Is saal hone ke poore chances hain. Gharwalon ne bilkul kamar kas Li hai 🤷

Human civilization is always at war..once Muslim r killed in Palestine it will be Christian vs jews war for same land.
Israelis claim they suffered in holocaust but what they r doing to Palestinians is nothing different.
This is not my experience but that of a friend's friend who is a local of Chamba in Himachal Pradesh. She befriended an Israeli tourist couple staying at Chowgan Mohalla, and they were initially friendly to her. They invited her to visit them in Petah Tikva. When she mentioned her dream of touring all Middle Eastern countries like Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Israel, Palestine, etc., the couple corrected her, stating there is no country called Palestine. She insisted otherwise, explaining its historical existence. Suddenly, their tone changed, and they began shouting, accusing her of antisemitism and demanding she leave 'their' city (a city in Himachal). She clarified that it's her land and country, but they continued shouting, claiming it as their home and dismissing her presence as a roach/rat. Finding their behavior absurd, she laughed, thinking they had gone mad, and decided to leave. She didn't contact or meet them again. This incident occurred before covid and I saw some one share a similar incident on twitter 2-3 months ago.Originally posted by: Supari_khala
