So clearly you didn't listen to the entire video, yet already want to question her.
They were flying over Ireland when the medical issue started.
More than their decision to not reroute the plane, what bothered me was the impassiveness that was displayed.
The reason to share this video is primarily for awareness that we should be prepared (basic vitals equipment, basic emergency procedures) for such situations especially when our parents are traveling. And secondly of course so people know the shoddy treatment meted out by Air Canada. I think had it been an Indian (or even Middle Eastern) airline, they would've been more open and helpful. Sometimes a few kind words and sincere intent to help are all that're needed for closure.
I can actually believe what she's saying cause I've had had bad experiences with airlines myself. Of course the stakes were not that high... Once I had to stay overnight due to airline fault despite having checked in on time and having a boarding pass with assigned seating.... And the person on the counter simply refused to entertain my persistent and always polite requests to put me on the next flight... they kept me waiting more than an hour, and when I went to speak to them again - as always after standing in queue and waiting for my turn and displaying my nicest smile - the official told me she'll call the cops on me... I was shocked! Stood there waiting, then their supervisor came and she told me I just missed their last flight by a few minutes, and there was nothing she could do other than put me on for next morning.... The behavior they had displayed towards me was disgusting... impassive... cold blooded... and despite me remaining polite and not raising my voice (I knew I was unfortunately at their mercy even if it's their fault) being told they'll call the cops if I went again to pester them in the slipping window of time they could have easily helped me... Oh yes, I did try the can I speak to your supervisor request, and had to wait for more than an hour for the supervisor to show up..... After finally completing my trip I thought I'll complain to the airlines (just like the lady even I did not record anything on my phone), but then I didn't want to waste another second of my life on this, so just left it at that.
Seriously?!! What exactly happened?! I liked watching some of his dramas. 
All his drama characters are coming to mind.
