SRK really did overact especially during the court scene

SRK is best at restrained characters. Slaptick comedy and OTT acting isn’t his forte . He was torturous even in Chennai Express.

Me and my husband had been eagerly waiting for Dunki ever since it was announced (that small video with srk and hirani). We were like Hirani and SRK?, it can't get better! I was waiting to watch another masterpiece. Oh well...

That's what I noticed throughout this thread...there are people who genuinely couldn't connect to the movie...and I think that is absolutely okay and should be respected. A friend of mine had the same reaction as you (contrary to me, she knows all the Hirani movies and also had big expectations)...and we had a healthy discussion - mainly about the subject and the ensemble cast (interestingly she will come with me a second time...give it another try).

He even made Boman Irani look subtle and that itself is a very difficult task
