Also in that too legal vs illegal immigration. Unless from a war torn country escaping, illegal immigration is a debatable topic. Frankly had no idea from India too ppl go via illegal route which was surprising.

I will definitely watch this one just need to work out when and with whom.

NRI may love this or may hate this movie(it may trigger them in some way). I never knew so many people choose this route or if there was a route. Hirani and Srk touched a topic which no one will touch. So hats off to them. Will be watching next week.

I am gonna repost mine just to feel important smiley36

My review:

The good:

Some genuinely funny moments and as someone living abroad, some points hit home.

Tapsee and Vicky Kaushal did really good. Especially Tapsee's comic timing surprised me.

A overall good one time watch to be enjoyed with family.

The bad:

Screenplay wise, not Hirani's best. I can't put it in perfect words but to be put simply, some scenes do come across as a little melodramatic which neither evokes emotion nor makes you feel good which is Hirani's forte.

SRK was not on his best and felt like he didn't put as much effort as he was required to. Which is bizarre because the role was nothing extra ordinary and very much something that SRK is capable of excelling in.

Songs were quite blah. Can we please get rid of the jingoistic agenda?? SRK needs to get back to acting and not run after BBs. Heck let him do a Raees or a negative role, but am tired of SRK playing larger than life deshbhakt who can do no wrong.

Overall 3/5.

I don't know. Sometimes IF gives those messages but try again. It should work. I'm being able to quote her posts no problem.

I would really like to understand that amidst such nice flow of the movie, light humor and enjoyable moments, where did people find ‘lacklustre screenplay’ etc. etc. Each scene was connected. From the promo I thought that church chaotic scene would go wrong in the movie and would be out of place. But in the movie it was not, it was very much part of the steps and the story. Bharadwaj Rangan I am losing faith in him. He mentioned about fat-shaming, but didn’t mention about the consequences the character faced there and the fact that even in 90s backdrop, it wasn’t glorified.

I am highly suspicious of all these negative reviews now. Aam janta don’t enter a theatre with a dissecting attitude, they are not critics. There’s literally nothing in the movie that’d bore or seem illogical to the audience. I believe this show will gain momentum in the weekend with family audience.

I am SRK fan, but I can segregate between a feel-good movie and a movie which made me feel good just as SRK fan. smiley36 I strongly recommend to watch this movie if you are looking for family drama, Hirani style, entertaining movie. To me it was an amazing movie, as good as PK and Lage Raho I’d say. I’d still keep 3 Idiots higher. Wasn’t a crazy fan of Munna Bhai or Sanju.
