I wish to rewind and share memories back to 2000 , when I was serving somewhere in a non descript town in the lower foothills of Dauladhar ranges ..

We had one TV in the club which would run just one channel called The Sahara .... Jokingly , we would call it Besaharaon ka sahara .... I was fond of Radio and would often adjust the antenna of a prized Phillips Radio to only catch the wavelength some obscure Chinese or Arabic music 😄....

Winter would be harsh and punishing ... Often the dead of cold nights would be unbearable with the only sound being that of plopping snow falling outside ...

With the present heating appliances not available we would have to make do with what is called as "" Bukharis "" .... on which at times cold food especially ice cold chappatis could be placed and get re heated ....

But now enjoying and experiencing all the greatest of advancements in technology and luxury, I feel those days of hardships were the best memories one can cherish and forge friendships ....

Sakshi Malik recently announced her retirement from wrestling after Sanjay Singh, close aide of former WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, was appointed as the new body president. She has now opened up after the WFI body got suspended.
