Makers have created this character in such a way that obviously his character will draw more love. Deva evidently had more character potentials than Tara...Will try to pen down how I feel for her. If u watch with retrospection,Tara is more unfortunate than Deva and her struggle is sometimes undeciphered and unnoticed by the viewers

I know both has suffered in their way. Deva has suffered for her betrayal and snatching away his innocence, love ,care and his only family.
Tara has suffered in her guilt, loneliness and loosing her companion. Still I love Deva 
I love Tara too but Deva ki baat kuch aur hi hai.
Also Vishal is playing the character is another reason for loving Deva as I'm seeing kanika's work for the first time.
