The oddity in the helplessness angle is what made me check.

I do get her fear of losing the job - have seen people go through that. She may get another job... but will it be in line with her expertise? may be or may not be. Can assume she doesnt have much savings... fd is the only thing questionable. If she is willing to give up on the project... doesnt need the job. but then will she get a similar job with similar pay? Dont know about the banking sector, but there are sectors where you cant get a job in a similar firm if you were thrown out for some reason - the blacklist she mentioned.

Any case.. would've been good if they did spend some time in exploring this after her fathers announcement, rather than rushing in to connect her to Virat. The helplessness does kind of feel believable... but... at least a small 'but'.

She is bold... but the character hasnt come across as independent yet - or at least it took a backseat while making her stay connected to Virat.

I never understood thissmiley24 Maybe because I'm Afro type, Idk. Mujhe yeh samajh nahin aa raha ke problem kya hai? Haar Rang bohot khubsurat hai yaar, caucasian to ebene and without forgetting the mix ones smiley27

This makes me sad seriously, ppl with such a mentality smiley7smiley19

Waise just like in some society, Bollywood also do not portray what India is about. Such a beautiful country with amazing civilization and 1% (with exaggeration) of it is represented onscreen, too bad!

Much of what she earned before were used to pay off debts courtesy of her father. Things are bad but not so bad - unless the fd thing is also gone. Can be argued she does need the job unless she is willing to give up the app project.

Hmm. But we need details about the FD though because the Father stopped her from breaking it.

Heart her say while counting the ladoos that she was a gold medalist, imagine a gold medalist feeling so helpless

Wahi toh yeh angle samajh nahin aa raha hai

I finally saw it.. 15th Dec episode. smiley36 But I still think that she should have her hair tied, if she was wearing the gajra.. get that they wanted Virat to get attracted to the fragrance of the jasmine flowers, and also get her to eat some food in the garb of tasting it, but still.

Loved Amruta effectively rebutting Bebe in that steel tumbler, glass scene. Was actually shocked at her classy response by an indirect reference to Bebe’s insult. This was what I wanted Pragya to do to in KKB. This is what makes it fun and entertaining to watch. smiley20 And it is a fact, that the water remains cooler in steel tumblers than glass, and even more so in clay ones.

Yes. and Ishika was talking to a bank employee about breaking an FD (when Ammu went to meet dad). was it the same one? can she actually do that?

About darker skin tone - yeah.. there is at least some prejudice (which is exaggerated here) which is also exploited well by ads to sell their products. I may not be wrong to say that heroines in Southern movies (Kerala may be an exception) tend to be fair skinned, sometimes (perhaps many times) someone from North ... disproportionately to general skin tone of people in South, which tend to be darker than fair.

Well, there are very good female actors in the south who are dark skinned but where hero-oriented commercial movies is concerned and the female leads do not have much story and SS, then fair-skinned actors are brought in from North and because the craze is more for the fan-crazed heroes that this has become a norm now. But, low-budget very good movies with good story line normally have heroines only from the South who perform better also. Even in Bollywood, the craze for fair-skin is more

Yeah - i am aware of that from Malayalam movies. Not so much exposed to movies of the other Southern states. So guess the same happens in other industries too. More aware of the fan crazed hero movies that you mentioned - they tend to have someone from the north.

This is a big concern always, Bollywood representing India globally, so much so that if not for other events taking place in the respective states and government programs, the world outside will never get to know the rich culture of India. Until a few years back, India included only mentions of the north but not the south. But the south have always been better performers economically and academically. But i think after the advent of ott platforms, south is getting recognized more.

Beauty is not in color but both inner and outer self but the movies have made it impossible for dark-skins to be appreciated, though there are a few exceptions

Some characters sketch, scenes, situations, dialogues, reactions, camera movements, editing, zoom bgm closeup shots etc.smiley39makes us wonder if KMTMG story is actually setup in current modern fast digital times as backdrop, or not??smiley5

Ideally in first episode introduction should have been, 'yeh kahani ki shuruwat hoti hai 2003 mein Mumbai ki Amruta Chitnis ki zindagi se' to make it more appropriate & convincing..smiley17 & every week keep repeating thru characters to viewers that they are living in 2003 era..smiley9 what say?
