ok i don't know what influence whom coz it's subjective but in movies, they play fictional characters that means they play someone else but in ads, they play themselves. Like in jawan, srk says, 'I, Vikram Rathore do this n that' but in ads, srk says, 'I, srk eat gutka paan masala' so there is a difference. When people see a movie, they see the character but when people see the ad, they see the actorOriginally posted by: Petrichor80

Here’s hoping they got served on a paan leaf. It’s only fair.

THIS!!
I don't know why such a simple concept is so difficult to understand....I tried explaining something similar in some other thread but then I gave up...

Have you heard of Colleen Hoover?? Her books are so bad, but she is hyped so much like she writes a masterpiece. There is a movie coming out for one of her books too.
I didn't have much expectations from Vanga after Kabir Singh, but the story of Animal is so disappointing. I was expecting a good twist for Bobby Deol's character kinda like Fight Club.

In the ideal world yes everyone would see that, but there are many times when people relate these actors to the characters they play. They call the actor by the character. As the public we really don't know these actors in person either to know how different they are to the characters they play.
Not everything SRK does is laudable or positive, not in what he says, what he plays, how he acts etc. So this holds true also for his endorsements.
There are many endorsements I don't watch because I feel that they shouldn't be done, especially not by celebrities.
I did not like SRK endorsing King Fisher's airline and this learning institut and fair&handsome creme and some others he doesn't do anymore. So, I really would prefer him not promoting something that knowingly causes harm.
But it is his choice and as long it isn't against any law, it is just a decision taken on the ethical level...and as much I wish his decisions would correspond to what I think of being ethical or not, my influence is zero as it is part of his professional work and earning money which he uses to make positive things.
it's the fault of those people who relate actors to characters but about movies, actors can say that 'i'm not that character' but about ads, actors can't say this becoz they r playing themselvesOriginally posted by: Petrichor80

It’s shameful how Srk, Akshay and Ajay are endorsing such products.
It’s not like they are poor and they need this money to get through life. All 3 of them are super rich and successful yet the greed for more by doing such ads is truly sad.
