From Satyajit Ray.

Parts of India are modernized and some are stuck back in the 70s.

And who has an interest to keep the "backward audience" backward ? All those who profit of that (in politics and the financial/economic/industrial sectors...where one can make money with these allegedly "backward" thinking/feeling people ...among others certainly filmmakers like Vanga).

I don't know if you watched the video posted on page 1, but it is really good and it has subtitles. Change is possible if better examples are shown to little boys growing up. They play smoking is harmful for health ads in theatres before movie starts, so they can show other educational ads too.

This is what women have to deal with now because of this ghatiya movie.

The problem with the Indian "Wokes" is that not only are they completely clueless to the ground reality but they have an extremely misplaced "Holier than Thou" syndrome.

These Twitter Gurus are not only judging a stupid film & fear mongering on how somehow one film is going to have an irreversible effect on societysmiley37BUT they are judging & shaming the audience who enjoy such cinema. What they need to get through their head is that there's a huge market for the Quentin Tarantinos, Korean Action films, the Kill Bill's, John Wick, The Saw series, the Equalizer. This film might have pushed the boundaries in Indian cinema but Gruesome Action & Bloodshed has been making billions at the global box office for decades. Nobody sits there and shames the audience for enjoying such films. People watch films they enjoy, go home and get on with their daily lives. Rest assured, you fear mongering imbeciles, nobody is going to start beating up & raping women because of Animal.

when you have a man who says, if people dont slap each other in the relationship and if a man cannot touch and do whatever he wants with this woman, then the love doesnt exist or is not unconditional..smiley32 and people think this thought process is not problematic..a dim and timid Preetiii is idolized by men..they dont want a woman to have a mind of her own..just surrender to them, if the territory is marked..

I will not comment on Animal, since I have not watched it, nor do I intend to..a thinking, educated audience will not get influenced by Animal, but the fact is that Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, towns and villages, is a totally different India from what everyone on this forum thinks..working women are looked down upon, men pay for the tickets, men behave like they are the sarbhara of the house and think giving too much independence to women is harmful..they want to watch Tripti strip, but if their wife wears sleeveless, she will be reprimanded..heck even in Sobo, I have seen typical Indian women from the richest families, talking crap about working women, that a woman should be locked down in the house and too much freedom causes harm in the society..like WTH!smiley11 this is a reality as well..and trash men like Vanga Reddy give power to both sets of conservative men and women to shit on progressive men, who are supportive towards their spouses and share equal responsibility in marriage and raising children and let their wife shine as well..and ofcourse women are supposed to stand behind quietly and NEVER question anything men do...I am not a feminist, I dont like unnecessary and lopsided feminism, where a woman is cool if she smokes and drinks and has multiple affairs etc..and demands for ali money, even if she is a working woman..but Vanga Reddy is dangerous..his movies are problematic..guns and blood curdling violence is NOT cool..I dont like violent movies personally..but more than that, I dont LIKE HIS SHIT THOUGHT PROCESS, which he is trying to normalize via his characters..Kabir Singh and Animal's success is a slap on the face of modern and progressive India..-_- phew main toh thak gayi bhaisahab!

Druvh lives in Germany, and I know about him. I don't watch his videos regularly but from time to time I take a look at his account and as his video about Animal got posted here, I watched it...

Personally, I would recommend this guy...intelligent and satirical, he gets to the heart of things..in this case that

"Vanga has put wet dreams of domination on big screen." (which I also mentioned - in other words- in my criticising posts).

Do you know the ground reality then? Do you really see everything happening all at once in India to be like nobody is going to start beating up & raping women because of Animal? Are you God?

There are many such men and they are amazing, but you're right they get shit on a LOT! Often get told they are weak for not "controlling" the wife.
