I believe that theres a distinct difference between showing objectionable behavior and justifying or glorifying it.
How can makers show the same action done by a villain and a ML and punish villain but not ML?! Its ridiculous. Either dont show the lead engage in pathetic behavior or genuinely make him regret, repent and redeem him.
Even with movies like animal, kabir singh- the people who are outraged are mostly complaining about the glorification of violence, abuse and toxicity.
There have been many movies that have shown the same things as is without necessarily condoning it.

In TMD what amazes me is that they give a better arc and plot for villains than leads. Jasleen, Gary, Yash for example have a clear reason and motivation for why they are evil, revenge seeking and as audience despite mot approving their deeds I can understand where they are coming from. But the non villains have at various points done things worse than villains without appropriately getting called out for it and without any logic, motivation.
Why is daarji opposing women working when brar jewelers employs women?! Why is he educating the women if he's gonna cage them in the house?!
Why is bebe so partial to manbeer or seerat but so harsh to sahiba ?!
Why does everyone join in Sahiba bashing with so much vigour but stay mute or subdued for all other issues.
