", doesn't mean the sellers shouldn't be taken to task"
- and who will do that? See as far as I can see, all shows currently on air, not just TMD, are still following IBCOC. Now any show will not cater to every audience ka taste naa...
So they will only focus on target audience.
See this: "Regarding Daarjis 10 shaadis, it will be more interesting than current track."
If Daarji ke 10 shadiya are acceptable, why isnt the same thing extended to Angad and Sahiba. Karne do unko gulcharre.
As long GECs follow I&B guidelines, they are fine.
Also taking someone to task, the guy who made "Animal" is the same who made Kabir Singh. And this latest is far worse than in terms of "message to society" than the last. Koi rok paaya. The team is minting money and baki sab crib kar rahe hai.
Outrage se kayi baar cheezein badli hai. Guidelines are not static. They change with time. Cinema has social value, it doesn't exist in vacuum. The makers involved also have many a times spoken about how they won't do certain things because it has negative impact on society, so they will be questioned by audience about it. Some might call it cribbing, for me it is mostly valid criticism because art doesn't exist in vacuum. Just because something made money doesn't mean we shouldn't call it out.
Mereko koi issue nahi agar 10 shaadi karle, yahan toh ek bhi aadhi adhuri hui hai.
Raising voice against something that looks wrong isn't really problematic and has often brought change, obviously you won't succeed each time.
The only issue I believe with protesting content on tv is people give a pass to truly problematic content on itv and object to lamer stuff. Like at no point should a story about minor and adult falling in love be greenlit by any channel, koi kangal ph ya channel nahi hai aur hai bhi toh you can invest same money in a not so disgusting concept. Just one example, many shows and scenes on itv need to be censored.
