That's the lowest bar yet, touching the floor now. It keeps dropping every generation from Alia to Janhvi to Ananya and now to Suhana and Khushi. It can't get any lower.

You cannot deny that Sonam was very good and looked promising in Saawariya. She got the central role and she did complete justice to it. Even in her second movie Delhi 6 she was good. And then started her downward spiral because she started acting like she has arrived instead of trying hard to improve her bad dialogue delivery etc.

On the other hand, none of the Archie’s have anything to offer. Absolute eyesores. Even Jhanvi was so much better than them in Dhadkan.

Dhadak is better written and Janhvi coached by actual trainers on set. This is an OTT debut with little effort put into it.

Haven't seen Archies yet but at least Sonam emotes well..like in Mausam, Delhi 6, Neerja.. Is beautiful, ethereal..looked like a dream in few movies. Aesthetically pleasing..I watched PRDP just to see her sarees and jewellery.

This may not sound PC in today's day and age but looks are an important part of an actor's arsenal. Acting is an aesthetic industry, that is if you aren't a radio actor. So just the mere fact that Sonam is better looking is already a plus in her favor as an actress. It's not fair because it's all about genes and probabilities but it's the way of things.

I think that's true for Sonam in modern/contemporary roles where she's basically playing herself or some variation. She's better when she's not playing herself like in Neerja or even when she's channeling a schoolgirl in Raanjanaa. Basically when she's actually making some effort to act. I did not grow up liking Sonam but even I was so impressed by her performance in Neerja that I was rooting for her to win the Filmfare (and at least she won the Critics Filmfare which I don't think any critics would ever have expected before that movie).

In comparison, can you imagine Suhana in Neerja?

Janhvi had coaches but let's not forget that Suhana's whole education was about studying acting...

Haven't seen much of Suhana yet to judge her. But Sonam was able to do so with low expectations..so Suhana may also spring a surprise. She is very young.

As for looks..Look at Kajol in her debut and now..agree Kajol was a far better actress even in her first movie but not a looker

Ummm I present to you Saif Ali Khan. He is naturally a talented actor and has immense privilege but his oxbridge training didn't translate to Bollywood scripts initially. So, I think it is useless to bring up Suhana's education

The nepo kids, especially Suhana and Agastya would benefit, immensely from debuting on ott and in an ensemble. It will recover its budget + will be forgotten.

The script from what I have read here was bad? They are kids as well. So will improve with better directors and age. And even if not, it's not like they are gonna starve ever

They’re 23 years old. That’s not kids. Janhvi and Ananya debuted much younger than that age
