I almost wanted to say it’s a silver lining if the movie hadn’t touched the subject of rape, but then I remembered reading about that wedding scene, and the bra scene (sexual assault).

I think the director wanted to show that Bobby was even worse than Ranbir’s character. He only had 15-20 minute screen time so likely added the wedding night to horrify the audience. I have pretty thick skin but even that was a shock factor for me.

I’m trying to rack up my memory to answer this.

1. No, he asked his mistress to lick his shoes to prove she loves him. She got down to do it but he moved away and left her crying.
2. He threatened to slap her really hard and in one scene was continuously pulling at the back straps of her bra which left marks.
3. I don’t remember RK’s character having sex without her consent. That was Bobby Deol’s wedding scene which involved Bobby and his three wives. Disgusting scene.
4. Yes, she wore revealing clothes to turn him on.
5. He was a controlling prick yes. I don’t recall RK slapping his wife but he did grab her by the throat. Bobby slapped his wife.
6. There’s a lot of crass and degrading dialogues about women in the movie. Hypocrisy is the major one. He tried justifying his cheating but when his wife said ‘what if I did the same and came back to you’ he was like ‘you’ll never do that. I won’t let any man near you’. He also told her not to remarry if he died. The fcuking audacity.

If anyone who watched the movie can confirm whether I’ve forgotten anything else.
