I just saw on Sony LIV promo of master chef , Harry is not there in cooking task. Manish Mehrotra is the guest judge.The challenge is Birth of a dish. They said it's a first time this type of challenge on master chef

True that, previous season it was bearable thanks to Nayan, this year I am only watching for Aashique, only he seems decent

Actually there were so many watchable things in that season, even Swarna whom I don't like much tried to innovate her dishes, except 1-2 contestants most of them looked genuine, at least to me.

But in this season toh I am not liking anything, chahe jisko dekho sab thode bohot toh fake hi lagte hain, upar se koi kuch new try nahi kar raha hai.

We have dalia risotto, kofta and risotto, falafel plate, cake....I forget the rest already.

Thank you MCI Season 8. I do not think I will be returning for future seasons after this snoozefest of a season.

In the previous season when Priya cooked risotto toh they called her dish very simple and she got eliminated. This season toh they are entertaining all these dishes, I don't remember anyone cooking daliya in any season or may be I don't know.

Rukhsaar - she made some chicken kofta with saffron risotto and salad. She still stuck to her Kashmiri cooking. Again nothing new. The guest judges said that they didn’t understand the risotto in this dish but chef Pooja immediately jumped to say how it worked for her, the creaminess went well with the kofta curry. The guest judges liked her kofta but not all liked her risotto. The original judges of course went ga ga over her dish.

Chef Pooja never speaks where she should actually speak but where there is no need for her to say anything she will definitely say something.

also, there was too much bias, no contestant stood out. As much as I like Aashiq, even he is stuck to one type of cuisine. Surprisingly Harry is the one that made the most variety

Why they came up with such a season I don't know, they could have taken some more time, organized everything properly and phir aate, what was so urgent I don't know.
