Yes there is some history with Kunal’s mother, Vani, and Vandu’s father, Vijay. But it isn’t clear what it is. I am assuming that they may have known each other because of their music careers. Vani was apparently a singer and Vijay plays the violin. For some reason, when Vijay thinks about the house being sold he has flashbacks of Vani but I’m not sure what she has to do with the house.

Also, Vijay has history with Kunal’s father, Kuldeep, who humiliated him in the past and mocked him for not being a renown musician. So far, these two have not seen each other and are unaware that their children are about to marry.

According to Pammi, Kuldeep used Vani to gain success in the music business and once he found no use for her, he got rid of her. Kuldeep raised Kunal thinking that his mom left him but Pammi knows the truth and said it was due to her brother’s cold hearted nature. He uses people, even his family, to gain success.

In an earlier episode when the serial began, Vijay felt that someone was going to connect Vandu and Vani and he kept asking himself who that would be. Well, now we know that person is Kunal. Vandu may unfortunately have a similar life story as Vani. We will have to wait and see if Kunal will allow his father to influence his marriage and use Vandu for business the same way Vani was used. Or Will Kunal change his ways and find love.

You have so nicely summarized the entire Karmarkar and Malhotra past that we know until now! Was a good refresher to my memory as well.

I think the only way K's father is ever going to agree to this marriage is by realizing who her father is and thereby forming his own ulterior motives with the marriage - he'll pretend to forgive V and bless the couple but will have his own evil agenda.

I think based on why V's dad will think of K's mom with regards to the house - the one plausible explanation I have is that they both loved each other in their young days - but something happened and Vani had to marry Kuldeep - Vijay also moved on with V's mom (who we now know wasn't a great mom - though that seems to be a bit last minute twist no - didn't seem like that was planned all along). Anyway Vani realizes how Kuldeep was this use and throw kind of guy and had no choice but to leave.

Coming to the present - I think K's dad will unknown to Kunal and V manipulate Kunal and kind of take advantage of baba's musical talent - and all this might lead to some misunderstanding - separation - kunal's realization of his dad's true colors (his sis has some idea as she's witnessed his mom being abused) and then his realization of his love for V and then winning her back? ..

Hope all this off-air news is fake and the show get its due share of airtime and is able to take this forward as a good story! I know Mohit and Sayli can do justice to a well crafted script so hope they get a chance to!

You make a good point. I also think that Vani and Vijay were in love at one point or maybe the two were just good friends. Vijay keeps a photo of Vani in a secret place so something is certainly up with their relationship. It’s amazing how their children reflect musical abilities of the other. Vijay and Kunal love the violin. Vani and Vandu sing.

In episode 3, Vijay had a flashback of his wife fussing at him and threatening to break his violin. She was against him being a musician and I think it was because of money. And she hated that he was influencing Vandu to become a singer. Auntie stated Hemnant and Mrunal were like their mother but Vandu took after her father. I think the disconnect between Vandu and her mom always existed but the Sonia and Tara track took the anttention off of the leads and these details were forgotten. Now it seems as if the story is returning to focus on the leads and how they’re connected.

Yes, I’m so interested in seeing a matured romance. A lot of new serials feature the younger generation falling in love so I’m happy to see the story focus on older adults who find love later in life. Falling in love as a middle age adult is totally different than when you’re younger. So I am eager to see how this romance will show up on screen.

In the beginning I thought the same thing… that Kunal and Vandu could be siblings. 😂

I’m assuming Vijay and Vani could have been lovers since Vijay hides her photo but I’m still not sure. They could be only friends. But it seems like Vijay is keeping the house in hopes she’ll come back to him.
