Raazi had Vicky Kaushal too, lets not forget that
I always think Raazi was a hit because of the hype, the topic and Meghana Gulzar. Alia was good in it, so was Vicky, but most of the credit should go to the world building, direction etc.

Heroine opened at 8cr too so did Jism 2
But lifetime of all these movies fell short..Raazi beats all except TWMR which was a franchise
I have been seeing these kinda PR posts about Alia everywhere out of the blue and it kinda reaffirms the theory in my head that Animal's numbers are giving someone major FOMO

LOL
Veere released after Raazi
It was a Meghna Gulzar movie...and Vicky's performance elevated Alia's...he is one of the actors who make the leading lady shine (imo)...which doesn't mean that I want to take away from Alia's success because I think that she is a good actress...however not the 'only' one to pull audience into a theatre...

Who was only known to the world through Raazi itself..how can he even be credited here..
because of his performance! He already had proved his acting skills in other movies.
O.K. A.L.I.A
In the world? Thoda jyada nahi ho gaya?
Alia Bhatt might be the only female actress in the world who could pull audience to cinemas for "original" films. Hollywood currently faces challenges with movie stars struggling to open "original" films solely based on their name. Jennifer Lawrence's failed miserable with No Hard Feelings flopping and is in ruts following back to back box office flops, Emma Stone has taken a step back from making commercial films and Margot Robbie's mega success hinged on the iconic "Barbie" brand. Other actresses like Florence Pugh often rely on a lucky indie project firing for potential Oscar recognition. No actress in Hollywood can attract audiences to cinemas unless the film is based on an established IP.

Disclaimer - haven't seen the movie and don't intend to But I did see the trailer Saiyaara was the very opposite of this— a tender love story...
