I agree with the "chase after trends" but reagrding action movies there is, until now, only Fighter from the Hindi filmindustry that comes in January that i personally regard as an action movie.

To me, Animal isn't really an action movie but more a gore movie - from what I've seen until now (and I doubt, I'll watch the film).

Tiger 3 isn't a flop-movie although it probably may struggle...and the story isn't that bad like some project it here (imo).

If you notice, I didn't post an opinion on T3. Because I didn't watch it.

What I said is Salman has a fan base. So people will watch if he actually made entertaining movies.

With re: trends. I had an agent. Out of the blue, they contacted me again She specifically wanted my recent thriller and actually asked me to give importance to male protag in my next novel because that's what producers want.

Thankfully for me, I have a day job that I enjoy, which enables me to write the stories *I* want.

There's a very simple explanation for all this.

Once Akshay gave up his Canadian Citizenship to become an Indian Citizen again, it sent into motion a chain of events, the Butterfly effect if you will & has landed us back into the 90s again.

Which means Sunny & SRK are the Mega stars, Salman is Hit or Miss, Nobody even talks about Aamir anymore, Single screens & Action is cool again and Akshay....well he's back to giving 12 flops in a row.

I remember for ZERO, u had changed the prediction the same day after the first review came out...so no damage was done...

Tiger 3 prediction...even the big Salman fans like Radhe ji, NB and Munna also were iffy and not sure about your prediction...

I wasn’t in the thread nor read it because I don’t clout judgement with predictions otherwise based on the release date and World Cup I would not predict this high. One can hope. Were it any other time the prediction may be possible just as a prediction because u can’t predict people. The worst is most people who not seeing it is because we have options like streaming though it don’t stop people as theater experience is not the same. Main is the pro pak peace theme and that having todo with the country is overdone which majority why majority indian audience isn’t seeing it. Other reason he released some silly movie on Eid that should have not have released till Tiger 3. Tiger 3 should have been the 1st movie in theaters then release whatever in his mind ( though that movie should not been in theaters).

I say this because Tiger 3 had more positive wom esp overseas when it came out now don’t tell me that in overseas salman mania gripped the nation. It was the highest opener in overseas including previews( I’m putting that because some will jump in with that) regardless people went to see it and those swing it majority gave it a thumbs up.

Once the Indian critics saw it that was the next day they started their reviews and some highlighted the pak pm peace angle blah blah ( which u mentioned too) plus in Canada it’s other mini India as I know Canada well as the USA. Though grew up in the USA but traveled and stayed in Canada some time in Toronto Brampton. Calgary and Vancouver also Punjabi hubs. So yes people cheer in the theaters and get loud. My cousin was in Brampton theater and as videos on people even dancing during tiger 3 post credit on leke prabhu ka naam. They stayed till the end as I told them that there is a surprise so don’t leave when the song is playing. Though the song should have come later and they should have tied hrithiks cameo to the movie somehow, and they should have cut down the Tiger Pathan bromance a little bit and more on Tiger and Zoya who majority people came to see. The director made it like Bourne/the dark knight rises which yo me I loved. I like thrillers and action ( and there it was Hollywood slick action and a coherent story better then Pathan where the villian and cameo overshadowed the leads. Yet people did not care so much on the peace ✌️ or saving the pak Pm but yes some old timers who did not grow up in Canada had issues. The new gen could care less. Gardar 2 with anti pal sentiment did well in India in overseas people came out saying what had they seen and shocked on how it minted money in India and that too with the clash. Gardar 2 in my opinion is the highest grossing movie without a clash. And a movie panned by the critics but loved in India. So the true star this year is sunny paaji at least my relatives hero shined🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

On topic: I loved TIGER 3 so as an audience that’s what matters 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍. I will keep saying this and I love the tiger series so what others say their opinion but I will be sure as Thanksgiving this week in the USA they go see it. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

In my comments in the review thread I wrote the fact that the focus on Pakistan could lead to its downfall. I don’t agree that it’s because it talks about ind-pak peace or has pro Pakistan elements to it. All That was present in the first two Tiger movies too and both did very well. The biggest problem here was there was hardly any India. It’s the relatability factor for Indians that was missing. What pride or emotional attachment is an Indian feeling at a very elaborate method of saving Pakistan’s democracy. Imagine a Hollywood movie where Russia is at focus of being saved but America hardly features even if the saving is being done by an American.

Also the film itself was just fine at best. Yeh action was good but honestly at times there was an overdose of it. If they really wanna go ahead with the Spy Universe, they really need to get back to the drawing board and start thinking of how this goes forward otherwise MCU jaisa haal ho jana hai. We are seeing the results with The Marvels…. Not the worst film in the last 3 years, I mean Thor 4 and Doctor Strange 2 were worse but The Marvels is feeling the brunt of it.

Yash Raj really needs to think carefully here, stars presence alone is not gonna be sustainable.
