I didn't say she was in love but she thought herself to be in love. She was not unmoved by the rejection, she ended up with lots of self-doubt, it means she held rituraj in some esteem and cared about him.
It's no different from what ruhi is experiencing (as of now). This isn't love I agree, but it's pure. Back to my main point it's nothing new to Yrkkh. It varies how fl is going to react to this instant ramen of love and come out of it and opens her heart to slowly cultivate, nourish love with her real partner.
It's been a while since I watched that, but from what I recall, Akshara 1.0 was naive and innocent. She used to envision her future with a "prospective groom" chosen by her parents, a common practice for girls in those days upon receiving a proposal. I agree that Akshara didn't personally know Ruturaj, but he was someone her family chose, leading her to develop a slight crush on him. Her despair wasn't due to Ruturaj's rejection, but rather because her family was heartbroken, and she felt accountable for it—a typical reaction for girls at that time.
Now, things have evolved. Regarding Ruhi, she didn't know Armaan beyond a brief encounter or two. She wasn't aware he was the Poddar's grandson or even a lawyer. Apart from his name, what did she truly know about him? How could they confess their feelings after a fleeting two-day interaction? It simply doesn't make sense. Similarly, Gayu had a crush on Kartik, but she let go after witnessing KaiRa's happiness and moved on. That's how a crush is supposed to be.
My point is times have changed, and Ruhi should approach these situations pragmatically. It's akin to meeting someone for a blind date who doesn't reach out after three days; it's better to let go than hold on. If they follow the storyline from "Ghum," Ruhi will be digging a pit for herself and three others by clinging to that instant, two-day connection.
