My guess is Armaan's mother would have been a maid at their house. She might have stolen money and heirlooms and left Armaan. Vidya and her husband later would have adopted him.

What’s wrong with Ruhi?? Why is she acting like a despo, who is always behind Armaan.. I like their pair, but didn’t like her proactive approach towards him all the time.
