True. In front of Faryal he says that he won't give her divorce as he wants to make her suffer, even if this means his own father suffer. But in reality , and in front of his doosri biwi he says that he can't divorce Faryal as he wants to keep his way back to his father's house open .. means that he doesn't want to lose the financial support. 
Faryal is confused. How I wish she plays a game to make the lives of her husband and his doosri biwi a hell. But sadly she is that typical dutiful biwi.
