Another day. another massive score from South Africa at the Wankhede. They hammered 144 off the last 10 overs, finishing with 382 after a superb 174 from Quinton de Kock and a blistering 90 from Heinrich Klaasen. Aiden Markram scored a fifty as well, but his effort kind of fades into the background amid all the carnage that unfolded after his dismissal. Bangladesh were still doing okay at that point when Markram was dismissed. They had got off to a good start with the ball, reducing South Africa to 36/2 inside 8 overs. There was a big partnership of 131 between de Kock and Markram for the third wicket, but things hadn't gone out of control yet. That changed, though, when de Kock got together with Klaasen. Soon after they joined hands and de Kock raised his hundred, all hell broke loose as they unleashed carnage from both ends. Bangladesh didn't know who to turn to as pace and spin disappeared alike. De Kock and Klaasen were eventually dismissed by Hasan Mahmud, but Miller offered them no respite with a quickfire cameo towards the end. Bangladesh's fielding, it must be said, was very good despite the difficult conditions out there. They saved a few runs otherwise South Africa would've easily crossed 400. The pitch again is a belter, although we did see the ball moving under lights in the last game here. Going to be a very difficult challenge for Bangladesh. Back in 30.

David Miller - It was a really good wicket, came in with 5 overs, I had no choice but to go after it. The slower ball sticks into the surface, otherwise this is a typical Mumbai wicket. We've played with each other for some time now, we know the roles of batters at 5, 6 and 7. It's all about going out there and applying yourself to the task. We know what needs to be done. From my perspective, I think I'm maturing with age, the self belief is there and I'm going with the flow.

SA was on fire…. Felt a little bad for Bangladesh on the final 10 over pelting…

While I think SA was fav this match, did not expect it to be this kind of batting… playing at my home ground Wankhede…

Doc - hope you feel a little better today…
