Actors will work for money, they may even be under contract so they will say what they have to in interviews to try to attract the audience. But Aditi and Adnan both don't sound convinced themselves, they look sad and defeated, they know this is a sinking ship Poor Adnan talking about the show being devoid of superficial overtones is himself sounding superficial

I think writer even not realizing what they are doing with Katha character in the name of son.

I would have preferred it if they had shown mother-son conflict. Which would have been the logical reaction of any mother seeing her son nurturing an unreasonable hatred towards a man he adored just few months back. They could have shown how even this relationship, of the two people who were supposed to be on the same team always, cracked and changed because of all the events that happened.

Katha and Aarav developing a bit of resentment towards each other, unable to understand each other, and unable to give into the other's wishes. Unable to have a loving relationship like before, unable to have a decent conversation without it devolving into shouting matches. We could have seen her as a changed, angry, conflicted mother putting her foot down against her son's irrational demands. That there were a lot of things that Katha could and did do for Aarav, but she drew the line at marrying someone else for his sake. That if he didn't like Viaan it was fine but that didn't mean she had to go marry his psychologist. Because absolutely no woman would do what Katha is doing here.

You've to play the bad cop sometimes. Be both a good bad mother, especially knowing that it's the right thing to do for your son, that sooner or later Aarav will understand. Viaan could have had a role then. They could have started again from where they left off. It would still have been a story about the three of them. This new entry is just an unnecessary arrival and adds nothing except some more grey hairs on the audience's head.
