Australia were desperate for a win coming into this. Sri Lanka needed a shot in their arm as well. The latter started better. They were cruising as both their openers got fifties. But then the Aussie skipper removed both the openers. Zampa got his act together after a okayish start. Starc nipped a few at the end and Maxwell finished it off. Apart from the openers, none of them came to the party. Neither Mendis nor the talented Samarawickrama added anything substantial. And credit to Australian bowlers as well. They bowled wicket to wicket and it is evident from the fact that 6 out of the 9 wickets that fell to bowlers were either LBW or bowled. 210 on this wicket shouldn't be that tough to chase down.

Karuna: "Very frustrating to see SL line up implode like this after such a fantastic start by openers. Maybe the team is lacking leadership."
