Forget regressive writing, the writing in this show is plain pathetic, not a single character stays in character.

to be honest i am not even sure whether Vankar agrees with the crap that was Ghum and now TMD. I feel he has just been a scapegoat and thats why he might have moved away from TMD when they added the Engagement and Zimmedari promo. His exit was somewhere at that time right?

He might have gone along to get along for Ghum but may be he put his foot down for TMD and was asked to go. Even for a creative stand point, whats the point of having ur same show repeated with different cast?

I did not know he gave Balika Vadhu but i knew this PH produced choti sardarni too.

Looks like Sitara is equal culprit in this crapfest as they seem to love the sisters fighting for a guy story line

Vankar did not work on Chhoti Sardarni with this ph. He was creative head on Ghum, Kkis and Tmd, I think he quit due to mental health or other personal issues.

He started career long back, worked on many shows. He wrote some columns on Indian Express, I used to read as a kid.

Haan i agree. It is regressive. But the male lead is 50000 times better than what we are watching currently. And mil was the main antagonist , not protagonist, just like no one cares about Rumi doing crap because he is the villain.

Even Balika Vadhu was quite regressive , but then characters were in character. It wasn't one dimensional.

Other than Zama shows barely any progressive shows on Hindi Gec.
