Akshara - The Worst Female Lead

Ever since this character was introduced I have always believed that she is nothing compared to the woman she was named after and has nothing in common with her. The name Akshara was a very special name as it reminded us of the legendary Akshara Singhania who was a generous, courageous and helpful woman and was adored by literally everyone who knew her. On the other hand her so called granddaughter Akshara/Goenka/Birla/Sharma is the opposite! She is a selfish, foolish, cowardly woman who only knows how to ruin things and run away from her problems instead of facing them like a normal, sane person.

This girl has never had self respect from day one and has always been obsessed with being a mahaan aatma as if she is some goddess like her Anu Aunty! Kabhi Aaru kilye maahan banegi, toh kabhi Manjari Maa kilye! instead of taking a stand for herself and telling these people that they’re wrong she’ll just cry and play the victim card!

Many people have different opinions about white day but in my opinion I still believe that she was a significant cause and if she had acted patiently and used her common sense then maybe Neil and her deceased baby would be alive today and all this madness would not have happened.

Her running away from her home and hopping on a random bus instead of going to her parents house made no sense at all. I agree that she was traumatised after losing Neil and her baby and that the Maa Beta both blamed her for their death but still. She should’ve given some time and fought back/divorced properly/demand alimony to show the Birla’s that she is a strong, independent woman who won’t take anyone’s crap and doesn’t need anyone’s support.

Obviously, we all know that she was lucky that day and met Abhinav Sharma who was a pure soul and took care of her and her baby during the tragic times, encouraged her, gave her a place to stay and she later made him the father of her child after seeing his kindness and sacrifices towards them.

However, what if Abhinav was a negative person with malicious intentions who could potentially harm her and her baby or what if there was no Abhinav to take card of her then what would she have done as we all know that Akshara is incapable of taking care of herself let alone another human! She carelessly put herself in potential risk without thinking twice.
Yes she wasn’t in the right state of mind but she could’ve went to a park, cafe, friends house, Nani ka ghar etc to fully rest and detoxify for a few days!

She clearly sucks at having a career as she is a confused soul who doesn’t know what she wants to do in her life. Kabhi singer banna hai toh kabhi music therapy, kabhi music teacher banna hai, kabhi jam maker, toh kabhi lawyer banna!
Girl do you not know what your own passions are or do you need a man to decide that as well?

Now most importantly Akshara is the worst wife anyone can have and has failed badly in both her marriages. The women knew very well about Abhimanyu’s anger problems and how malevolent and abusive his family is yet still decided to marry in that household without thinking twice about the future consequences that she could potentially face.
She was honestly living a good life with Abhinamyu before she stupidly left him just cause of a random doctor! Was very stupid how she just left him without saying a word she could’ve literally told him about Khera’s condition par nahi madam ko toh mahaan banna tha and ruined her relationship in the process!

Now coming to her marriage with Abhinav I agree that she had a good relationship with him and lived happily with him for 6 years which was fine at the time as it honestly looked as if Akshara had moved on with him. However things went sour as soon as Abhimanyu entered the picture as it proved her disloyalty.
She apparently wasn’t in love with Abhinav for 6 years but as soon as Abhimanyu came she randomly confessed to Abhinav saying that she loves him and can’t live without him etc which would not be a problem if she truly and honestly loved the guy with no selfish motives!

It is absolutely shameless how she claims to love Abhinav but can easily run back to Abhimanyu just because her young son and manipulate elders want her too! If she genuinely still loved Abhimanyu during and after the 6 years then there would be no issues but she has countlessly screamed at him, taunted him, bashed him saying how she regrets loving him etc and now she wants him again for her selfish motives as she is incapable of taking care of her son and needs a Baap since the previous one has expired and she seems to have conveniently forgotten that she ‘loved’ the guy and had a ‘positive’ relationship with him!

Remarriage is absolutely fine I have no issues with it but marrying straight after your partner has died is simply disloyal especially when you’re remarrying your Ex that you supposedly ’despise’! It simply shameless and selfish! Marriage is not be the only way to have a happy family, healing yourself, being independent and giving time to your kids is the most important to ensure a good, peaceful life. Why constantly abuse and insult someone when you know that you secretly still have feelings for them!

Knowingly or unknowingly she has ruined the life of both men one is alive but is living like a dead soul everyday while the other is in the afterlife most likely shocked seeing her true colours!

Whether you are an Abhira fan, Akshnav fan or a neutral legacy fan like me, I’m sure we can all agree that Akshara/Goenka/Birla/Sharma/Birla is the most shameless, selfish, disloyal, hypocrite female lead to exist especially when compared to the previous leads like Akshara and Naira!!

I just hope the next FL aka her daughter Naira is Not like her at all and has the positive qualities of her grandmothers instead!!

I agree everything about akshara , however , this time , the honour is to be shared equally between dr Birla and his wife/ ex wife / current fiance. 😀 ainvayi nai they are soulmates. They find way to each other bec everyone else is disqualified in the dumbness department .

Even though i completely agree with you all above points when akshara can forget the man she loved from 1.5 years and left him and his family crying and mourning for her dead child. Who married random stranger from bus instead of giving good news to her MAA who would have felt happy that neil is coming back as abhir. But for her, her ego was more important than the happiness of rest.

Pehle se hi uska character aisa hi hai. Now if she marries abhimanyu we all know if she can pick random stranger to marry. Abhimanyu is her ex and bff

Abhinav was complete stranger he had is own financial issues but this lady decided let me increase his financial burden and married him. If she was really that good when she sees abhinav over working she could have left then and there. That's the self respect a normal human have. But she decided to give him RETURN GIFT 🎁 . He was always wishing for a family so she married him instead lol. 😂

You just tore the character apart. I do not even want her to say the name Abhinav again. If you want to move on just move on the lady does not even have the guts to call it is my wish. Whoever is the next gen FL she will have her brain cells so I cannot expect her to be different her mom. Making a fully different character is not in the capacity of the writer. Gen 4 with this set of creative will be doomed

They could have ended the crap by showing a few years leap and get their soulmate reunited some fans would have left the other would have stayed back

Yes makers can still fix her. The Akshnav pregnancy track should be cancelled n she should say their relationship is more of friendship.

Agreeing to everything in your post.. you have presented a Neutral viewer point. Akshara has always been a pendulum who couldn’t make up her mind between any two things. She comes off as a lazy,’ let me choose the easy way out’ person. Even before the leap she was not very solid understanding partner nor was she a trustworthy partner. Jaisi mahaantha ki direction dikayenge, AK wahan chali jaathi hai. To her, it looks like that’s all she cares about. “What would they think of me, how would they view me if I pull this stunt’..! Yeh nahi sochthi hai, how will the repercussions of her actions be on her family. If this is how writers present a FL I don’t know how much respect they hold for other women. All of the FLs come with flaws and story is usually how they grow and eventually learn to overcome them, but AK comes off as someone who keeps discovering new new flaws everyday with no growth or self reflection. Probably why we never get her POV or monologue ever.

Her character has to be worst female lead on ITV. I could be wrong, but I don't think there has been an ITV mom that replaced a real father with a stranger she met on a bus. She was superficial and selfish from the start, but she wasn't malicious. However, after the first leap she turned into the vamp of the show outdoing Arohi on multiple occasions.

The second failed because she wasn't shown as a mother. Gen 1 leads had heartwarming bonds with their kids. Gen 2 had Naira and Kairav's bond before introducing Kartik's own bond with his son. Gen 3 had a mother giving her son that she almost died for to a stranger she met on the bus then crediting her motherhood to him. TRP viewers don't care about ships or romantic scenes. They want drama. That's why the staple of all ITV leaps revolves around a mother and her special bond with her child then the male lead's expressing his angst over his child. The makers had her running around coddling a grown man over her own six year old son or running around her ex-husband to verbally abuse him. Abhir was never a priority for her. It was bad enough she didn't have a bond with Abhir, but she spent months going out of her way making sure to ruin his bond with his real father too. The entire premise of the leap was absurd.

As for Abhinav, I don't understand why he gets a pass when he was a willing participant in her abuse. The minute he didn't inform her family about her pregnancy or the fact she was in coma for days his "goodness" disappeared. Who doesn't let a family know their daughter gave birth and is a coma? Sounds like a red flag to me. Also, if you expect anything especially a physical relationship in return for your goodness then you're not good person. He felt guilty and wanted to tell Abhi the truth then she threatened to leave so he emotionally blackmailed her to accepting their relationship. That makes him worse than her because he clearly knew better, but didn't care as long as he got a wife and son.

Both of them are expert manipulators that's how they lived together for six years without knowing simple facts about each other lol. There was no need the truth or communication because they just wanted to play house with another man's son.

I'm genuinely curious why the makers ruined the legacy female this badly? What was the point? It's a fact that ITV revolves around the female lead and viewers connect to her. My mother used to watch the show because she was Naira's daughter, but she stopped watching quickly.

Sirat and Akshar Jr. Can be tagged as loser and confused soul ... I also did that when she was with Abhinav but tabhi thodi kum lagti thi and ab jyada...

Akshara Jr.was never a reason for anyone to switch on tv, unlike other two generation ki female leads... Akshara Sr. Was less emotional and she had very practical approach to life... She was not 'Strong' independent woman but she was ALWAYS backed by family, and I find nothing wrong in it. Family could be Singhaniyas, Maheshwaris or just Pati+Bacche!
