Oops. Then I don’t think he overpowered Sonam. Because that movie clearly belongs to Sonam. Ek movie hai woh bhi cheen loge? Aise kaise?🤯

In a multi-starer film the negative character will always walk with all the accolades. ALWAYS....
Even when the positive character is being played by National Award winning actors like Sunny Deol(Darr), Ajay Devgan(Omkara), Shahid Kapoor(Padmavat). Even when the negative character is being played by a debutante/ 2nd year actress or actor - PC(Aitraaz)/Arbaaz Khan(Daraar)....even when the negative character is being played by a wooden actor.(Suniel Shetty- Dhadkan).
You're automatically considered a good actor if you're skilled at Hamming/Over the top & the negative characters provide plenty of opportunity for this. Which is why SLB had such a hard time finding someone to play the role Shahid eventually did in Padmaavat. No Star will ever play the positive role to another star anymore. They've learnt from History. So yeah every negative character played by a star has "Overshadowed" the positive character.
Im till date scared of Kancha from Agneepath and hated Rauf Lala which Rishiji played so well

Haven’t watched the movie. Is it good?
yea good one
Well...it was Jim Sarbh who , in the words of OP , overshadowed Sonam and shaped the memory of the movie for me , which is all that matters to me at the end of day regardless of what the rest pick . Sure they all can like Sonam .Originally posted by: 1t1svat1t1s
