Despite not having read the Pinkvilla article, I'm sure that economically seen and strictement limited to India, Gadar 2 is - till date - the most profitable movie although it has neither a pan-Indian nor much overseas appeal.

I don't have an opinion about the quality of the movie as I haven't watched it, but I know that it forged ahead first and foremost because of nostalgia. But, hey, it brought people back to the theatres regardless the quality!
