Gadar 2 Fifth Week Business - 510 Crore In Five Weeks

Gadar 2 - The Katha Continues is closing in on the lifetime record collections of Bahubali - The Conclusion and Pathaan as it reached 510 crore nett after five weeks. The film should be be away ahead by now due to the appreciation but the clash with Oh My God 2 and then Jawan curtailing its run has meant its a slow pace to get above the 512 crore nett mark.

A solo release for the film would have meant far higher numbers and maybe even a 600 crore nett number but the industry got more than 600 crore nett with both the films released on Independence week. The highlight for the film are the collections in Rajasthan, no doubt some other circuits have put crazy numbers but the desert state is simply mind boggling..

The drop in the fifth week is a huge 80% and that is the difference a big release makes when the screen count shows a huge drop. The fifth week collections are well short of Bahubali - The Conclusion and Pathaan despite putting up near record numbers for four weeks. The collections of Gadar 2 - The Katha Continues till date are as follows.

Week One - 2,82,00,00,000 apprx

Week Two - 1,33,00,00,000 apprx

Week Three - 62,75,00,000 apprx

Week Four - 26,50,00,000 apprx

Week Five - 5,50,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 5,09,75,00,000 apprx

Until including yesterday (Sunday), the all-India box office net for Gadar 2 is 520 cr.

Yeah, one should not forget that Gadar 2 didn't had a so-called solo-run. At the same time, it was Akshay's movie that released and the next week, it was Ayushmann's...and then, two weeks later, came Jawan...

And also the ticket prices had not been as high as at the release of Jawan, I think.

Does someone know the footfalls of Gadar2?
