You should have one Moderator account called The Terminator

Give all the Mods access to that account, whenever we spot an abusive MID, we will tag that account and any Mod who is online can quickly ban them

Vijay, good to see you active here. I'd like to share my two cents as well.

This forum has been dealing with abusive MIDs for over a month now. MIDs are created just to get attention. Though time and again mods have asked members to not engage in any conversation with MIDs, instead just report those posts, still some members don't follow this. There should be stricter rules with this, engaging with MIDs should get increase in warning levels. At times people just engage with them for popcorn entertainment but the member whose name is getting dragged unnecessarily has to suffer! If they don't get attention, atleast then the innocents wouldn't have to suffer!

Minty, that's a really good topic. Thanks to you people atleast got to share their concern.

Maybe Vijay can enable a two-factor authentication to verify an email account. New members have to provide an additional backup email and verify from that account as well. Just make it a difficult and boring process. I know it won’t stop people from making ids ready in advance but it will slow the traffic down for members making mid accounts on impulse to attack members in a heated thread.

Maybe an option can be enabled that if a new account does not log in for certain period of days then they have to submit a form again or generate a code that requires them to login to both emails and submit in the forum. At this point, I’m making shit up so if there’s anyone working in IT, don’t judge me. 😒
