She sat dazed in one corner of her room at recent turn of events in Goenka House. She could not stop herself from thinking about she has been told multiple times that she is immature and has narrow thinking. Well, at this point, her own behavior comes as little surprised to her, but honestly, no one really seems to try understanding her. She had promised Kairav to “try” moving on and requested some time and support from the family.
Initially, her approach was quite clear- Avoidance. She would avoid anything that hurts her rather than confronting. Hence, she tried heading to Mumbai, she would go to office even when it was supposed to be close, she would just escape the house. She knew this was not the best way, and she may be hurting other people in the process – others whom she calls her family!
On Rakshabandhan as she headed to her closed office, she spoke to Neela Amma about how she was finding everything so difficult and tough. She told her how she was also hurting Kairav by not being able adjust in the family where Abhimanyu Birla – whom she partly holds responsible for her Bhai Jee’s death was always around – and it was just suffocating. Amma explained to Muskaan that people must live on, even when after death of loved ones. Abhinav was her brother-like and they dearly loved each other, however, her brother has given her one of the best gift – Her family! Abhinav got Muskaan married in a loving and well-respected family. How could you avoid such family? That’s the gift your deceased brother gave you. Please take care of it, nurture it, and stay by them. Muskaan was highly motivated by whatever Neela Amma said and decided to stay and be by her family.
That family was indeed the gift, it was that idea that took over her thought’s way above everything else. Or else why would she be so possessive about these relations which were relatively new, and she had almost convinced Kairav to let her to go to Mumbai. How is that the thoughts about him having an affair did not matter to her back then? What exactly was happening to her? Why does she want to just keep up with the family that is clearly- very clearly disrespecting her brother? I am not against Bhabhi moving on, I just don’t want THAT man to be around my family, who was quite responsible for all the sorrows her family, and her bhaijee went through.
Muskaan wiped off her tears slowly and looked around. It was just an empty room. She was all alone. Maybe she was wrong. Maybe she crossed her limits but she couldn't just take disrespectful behavior that Goenka family displayed towards rishte. Maybe that's how things work here in big households and she isn't meant for such family.
She looked at her Bhai Jee’s picture and hugged the frame and apologized for not being best of herself. She will not stay here anymore where she is no one’s wife and let things just go with the flow.

Just as she was about to pack her bag, she felt a hand on her wrist sort of trying to stop her efforts of packing. It was her Akshara Bhabhi. She may have immense respect for her, but she was partly responsible for so many things. Abhir was now completely fine and yet she chose to be around that man. On the other hand, Kairav, who was in the garden was met by Dr. Abhimanyu Birla for yet another lecture on importance of love and marriage.
This time Kairav was in no mood to hear anymore lecture from Abhimanyu and hence he decided to just go in the house. Abhimanyu stopped him anyway. “What’s your next plan?” he asked Kairav. Kairav looked at him confused. He continued, “I can get divorce papers ready within next 30 minutes, are you up for it, bro? I have special contracts – you see?” Kairav looked on trying to decode his point, but Abhimanyu being himself started cribbing about how his life has been difficult after his actions. He regrets it till date but look at Akshara! She was able to find happiness for herself, while we are the ones to suffer.
Muskaan tried to push her hands off and said that there is absolutely no place for her in the house and it’s better if she leaves. Arohi came from back and placed her hand on Muskaan’s mouth and dragged her outside. Akshara helped Arohi with doors and they headed outside near the car. They shoved Muskaan in the backseat of the car, She looked at them with shock and surprise! She immediately tried escaping only to be held by tiny hands. It was Ruhi! What was she doing here? What’s happening? “Are you all kidnapping me?” she asked disoriented as sisters took the front seat, “Indeed- We are having girls’ night out! We cannot go to bar, because well we have Roohi with us, but we can go to some fancy restaurant and have some late-night dinner, Ruhi is taking off, so we had no option but go get her along! Anyways, wear the seatbelt!” Akshara ordered sternly. Akshara was also not in best of her mood today. She still could not forget abrupt confession Abhimanyu had thrown at her other night. She just wanted to erase that part from her memory! It seemed like the man who tried ruining her life once was kind of planning to restart the mission, but this time! She would be in control of her life and thoughts. It won’t be repeated.
“Akshu.. Sambhalkar…” Arohi screamed as Akshara heard loud horn blown from the side. She could see man being annoyed at her in mirror, and she apologized. “Tera dhyan kidhar hai?” Arohi asked seeing her worried. Akshara brushed off the question by changing the topic. She reminded Arohi that Muskaan was supposed to be our focus today.
Akshara, Muskaan, Arohi and Ruhi entered a well-known hotel chain – Jilton! which would luckily remain open as late as 3 AM on that day. Indian Army members were going to meet in the conference room to celebrate their recent success. Near the hotel gate, Ruhi bumped into a man who had covered his face in helmet but carried a suitcase. It seemed to have something dangerous and looked like a gun. While her mother and massi were busy getting themselves a table in a hotel restaurant, she decided to speak to Muskaan about the same. Muskaan hugged her lightly and told her that this is where our army team will be arrival, it maybe for their security and arrangements. Ruhi asked Muskaan, “Yeh Amy kya hota hai?” Muskaan smiled lightly and tried simplifying answer, “Who Amy nai, Army hai… Army mein who log hote hai jo hamari country ko protect karte…” (I really should practice writing hindi dialogues) As Muskaan continued talking about how they protect our country, our people and how they stay away from their own family… Muskaan was lost in the flow, as if something that could relate to the most.
Dedicating this to those who asked me to write this down 
I will move this FF section, if I ever finish it. But at this point, Muskaan's character is dull and there are no interesting character to fall on for legacy, maybe except Kirti and Naksh's daughter, or Abhinav's twin brother- Anubhav
